How was your weekend? Ours was lovely, as always. We had a very chilled weekend. We missed Hubby a lot. Lacey thinks that he’s in every aeroplane that flies by, and misses him oh-so-much {which is exactly what she was doing in the photo above}. I think I might miss him more. He’s home tonight, and I can’t wait to cuddle him.
We packed up a blanket and picked up yoghurt, fresh bread, muffins and fruit, and headed off for a picnic in a nearby park for breakfast. It was so nice just to lie outside when everyone else was probably all cosy in bed. We explored in the gardens and soaked up the morning sun.

Glad you had a wonderful weekend. I love picnics with my kids (4 & 2). They make it so much fun, and such an adventure. We have recently discovered blowing dandelions which makes Jorjette (2yo) fall on the ground with laughter and squeals while Archer (4yo)blows them for her. Such a sweet thing to watch. He will hunt for ages to find them to make her laugh. (See, there I go getting all teary about this while writing!! Damn your blog makes me miss my kids while Im at work!)
She is adorable. And so serious. Maybe she has inherited your love to look up into the sky?

That is a gorgeous pic! So cute! When I was little my Dad travelled lots and my grandma told us that whenever we saw a plane go overhead we should give it a wave as Daddy would be on board. Needless to say, after that, whenever we heard a plane going overhead we ran outside to wave to Daddy! I still sometimes go to wave, even at 28!

Such a gorgeous photo of Lacey 🙂 Sounds like such a lovely way to spend the morning having a breakfast picnic. I will have to try that with Grace one day. As for my weekend, Saturday was great with a bit of furniture shopping and a Hen's Party lunch, yesterday was rather frustrating as we were without power for over 14 hours 🙂
