Letter To Lacey: Twenty Months.

I

feel like I have to go back and count through the months. Surely you’re not twenty months? Surely you’re not just four months off being two?

But you are, and you’re most definitely no longer a baby, but a toddler… and a little girl. A little girl who knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid to throw a tantrum or scream until she gets it. You’re determined, and confident. You’re sweet, and funny. You’re beautiful, and the light in my life.

You’re so smart. I remember back at 18 months I was reading that you should be able to say at least 6 words. Back then I ticked that off the list. Over these past two months you’ve learnt so many words that I couldn’t even count them. It’s so much easier now that you can speak, it’s less guessing and more communicating. It’s quite fun.

You love to dance, sing, chatter, swing, draw, make a mess, run, eat and make us do what you want.

And now I have to go because you’re being a bit of a Princess and require my undivided attention. Happy Twenty Months my little girl. I love you. xx
