I have never owned a pair of boots. Each year I go out on my annual boot hunt and always come home empty handed.
Oh, I tell a lie. Two years I came home with the ugliest pair of granny style ankle boots. You know the extra comfy ones, with more padding in the sole or something. Yes, those. I wanted to make them work.
I tried them on with many outfits and they looked horrendous. On Hubby’s request (and without any complaints) I took them back. And quick.
You see, boots don’t fit that well with me. I’m usually zipping them up and they get mid-calf and that’s it. That’s as far as they will go.
I heard that there were some extra roomy leather boots at Target. I hop, skip and jumped my way there this week. They fit! They looked good. They were 30% off. They were only $70.
Okay. I don’t have anywhere to wear heels these days. But I have boots.
I am grateful that I have BOOTS!
I have the same boot issue. I used to have boots – when I was abour 30 kilos lighter *blush*.
I am going to Target tomorrow to see if I can get some like yours – yep, I’m stealing your style!

I’ve only ever had one pair and I had to have them modified by a bootmaker to fit my little chunky legs!
I need new boots too! I have horrible marathon runner calves and it’s so hard to find nice boots. Congrats on your first pair!

i have the same boot-doing-up problem. have given up even trying on most brands! i have diana ferrari flat knee-high boots and they are comfy and great!

I never told anyone that I had the same boot problem. I was too ashamed of my fat legs! I’m not even sure why I cared about what the shoe sales person thought when the boot only zipped up half way but I was usually too scared to even try them on. However, I recently found a great pair of black leather diana ferrari boots. Halleluja! Now I have SO MANY more outfits to wear in winter. Love your brown leather ones, yes I think I also need a brown pair!
