Super Easy Baked Meatballs

1 kg beef mince

1 red onion, peeled and finely chopped

1 teaspoon dried Oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 jar of passata

1 giant handful mozzarella


  1. Preheat your oven to 180ºC. Place the mince, onion, oregano, thyme and salt and pepper into a bowl. Mix together with your hands. Once all the ingredients are well combined, roll the mix into generous sized meatballs.
  2. In a large frying pan over medium heat, place 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and brown the meatballs for three minutes until brown on the outside.
  3. Place into a baking dish and top with passata, and the mozarella.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes, or until your meatballs are cooked through and the cheese is gorgeously melted.
