Ingredients
Scale
- 125g butter
- 1 tablespoon golden syrup
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius {160 degrees Celsius if you have a fan-forced oven}.
- Grease and line a 18cm by 28cm slice pan.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and golden syrup. Remove from heat when butter has melted. Remove from heat, and place choc-chips in the pan, and stir until melted thoroughly.
- Combine the flours, caster sugar, and oats in a large bowl. Stir to combine.
- Add the butter mixture and stir. Add the egg, and stir until completely combined.
- Press the mixture into the prepared tin, and smooth over using the back of a spoon.
- Place in the oven and cook for 20 minutes. Let cool {if you’re patient enough} slightly, and then cut into squares.
