Throw your ideas this way

GIFT GIVING

You know what I love talking about at this time of year? The things that people are getting their kids for Christmas. Oh, I mean… the things Santa is bring their kids at Christmas time. Because then I can totally borrow steal the ideas, and then get my kids something awesome.

In my dreams I’d get my kids this sweet-as cubby house and paint it in pastels. In reality I pretty much stick to the rule above and buy them clothes, books, and a toy {because they don’t NEED anything other than food and a roof over their head and love, and they’re not easy to wrap}. I ordered a Melissa and Doug sand toy kit and a wooden truck for Lulu. I am keeping it simple, particularly because we just got a pool and that’s enough for the Christmases for the rest of their lives.

Anyway, let me in your head. Tell me how old your kids are, and what you’re getting them. Throw your present ideas at us. AND better still, if you know an awesome small business {or own one} share it below, so we can support you this Chrissy.

  1. Ooo I’m the same, I love the 4 rules of purchasing presents! I always get my kids dressy clothes, I have already purchased 3 new Christmas books, Miss B is getting an iPad from Santa as she kind of needs it for school and she will just love playing with it, Master B will be getting some new wheels, so excited.

  2. Last year, because we were so unprepared for her arrival her Christmas present was a simple bunny from Bed, Bath + Table and an outfit (target red skirt + word on baby custom onesie). This year I have ordered the kindness elves (to use in the lead up to Christmas) + she will get her first cabbage patch doll (I’m still debating on which one!) + an outfit to wear on Christmas day.

I’m not sure what Santa will bring but it will be something small, as I want Scarlett to understand that daddy + mumma work hard for their money to give presents + that it isn’t Santa who brings the big things.

BUT my biz (Little Lettie Boxes) will have some special Christmas gifts for mummas + little ones on instagram + facebook next week 😉

  3. I LOVE Christmas, but hate the greed and over spoiling in regards to presents. My girls are 3 and 1 so they’ll only be getting some clothes and a small toy each. I also don’t like the idea of ‘Santa’ buying them expensive presents, big presents come from mum and dad!
