The Sweetest Gift

Brought to you by Lost My Name.

I don’t mean to alarm you, but it’s almost Christmas. Perhaps you haven’t noticed all the decorations in the stores, and all the people in the stores. Christmas is coming, whether you’re ready or not {I’m ready, just for the record – our house is the most Christmas-y in the street. We’re all ready!}.

I love Christmas for the whole gift-giving thing. Not the receiving, but the giving. I love trying to find the perfect gift for the people I love and then giving it to them, and seeing the joy in their face as they open it. I’ve got goosebumps writing that. Isn’t that what Christmas is about? Making people feel special, loved and appreciated.

I recently gave my girls some books that I had personalised through Lost My Name. Of course, I should have waited until Christmas to gift to them. I should have. But I am impatient when it comes to gifting, and these are so cute and I wanted to share with you too.

Growing up as a kid, I could never find my name personalised on ANYTHING. Not pens, not number plates, not mugs, or t-shirts. It didn’t exist. Seeing my name on something would have been magic, and that’s what I love about these books. Well, just one of the things.

Lost My Name has two books that you can personalise for your kids, or your friend’s kids, or your nieces and nephews. I LOVE these books, and think they’re perfect for anyone. Sorry for the ranting and raving, but they make the perfect gift, I can’t deny it.

Lulu got ‘The Girl Who Lost Her Name’ and Lacey got ‘The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home’, where I put personalised tributes in the front pages so they’ll have them to read for many days to come.

Lacey loved seeing her name inside the book. I think she thought she was famous. She wants to be famous at the moment. It’s her thing.

Both books take the girls on beautiful journeys. I customised the characters to be just like the girls. The illustrations are gorgeous, and delicate.

My favourite part might have been that I could put in our home address, and it takes a snap from Google Maps and prints it right in the book. See? Magic.

I think they make the sweetest gift. They’re special, affordable, shipping is fast and free… and there’s no better gift than one that’s personalised. Don’t you think?

  1. Like you, I couldn’t find my name on anything either. (of course now “Dora the explorer’ has changed that!) I can see how great this sort of gift would be for kids. I found similar products for my kids when they were younger they just loved them!

  2. I bought ‘The boy who lost his name’ a couple of years ago for my nephew. Absolutely gorgeous and the quality is superb. I wanted to get one for myself 🙂
