Let’s do lunch, Melbourne!

Brought to you by Olympus.lunch

Lunch times at my house pretty much means mess, or it means playtime. It’s amazing how a very innocent vegemite sandwich can act as a painting tool for a one year old {I can’t believe I’m writing one year old, is she really that old?}. Luella has mastered the art of breaking out of her high chair {giving me a heart attack in the process} so I sit her on the ground to eat, which we all know means ‘free to roam and do as she pleases’ because taming a toddler is not the easiest of tasks.

So it probably comes as no surprise that I’ll jump at any opportunity to get dressed up and have lunch with adults {with real food, not pretend cakes and sweets}, where there are no vegemite sandwiches in sight. I know I won’t get smeared with food, or have to stop halfway through my meal to get someone a drink, or a piece of fruit or save the lounge from being decorated in food.

lunch1

At the Olympus lunches we’re having up and down the coast I might have to stop half way through my risotto to finish a really good conversation, or sip my wine, or have a laugh… and that… that is perfectly fine with me. That’s the kind of interruption I like!

This week I’ll be meeting with 24 readers at Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast for a 3-course lunch, and I’m so excited about it. I’ve wrapped the gifts for each guests, and I’ll already picked out my outfit {highly important! And fun!}. I’ll write a post with lots and lots of photos about it later.

I’ve been hearing lots of calls for a Melbourne lunch, and Melbournites… it’s time. Do you like photography? Good food? Fun conversations? Want to have lunch with me and the Olympus gang?

We’re inviting 25 readers to have lunch with us at the Langham Hotel in Melbourne on Tuesday September 16th. I’ve visited Melbourne four times but seem so very little of it, only traveling for business, that I can’t wait to sit down for a long lunch and soak Melbourne up for a while… and the people too!

  1. I would love to chat about all things photography and capturing our little ones in the ‘magic light’ of love AND as I have girls 5,3 and 1 would LOVE to do this uninterrupted, have the time away to miss them, and all over a glass of wine!!!

  2. Oh my, really? What an amazing opportunity to get some photo inspiration and to have an uninterrupted grown up lady lunch too? Sounds wayyyyy too good to be true !

  3. I’ve been waiting for a Melbourne date to be set,
Not being able to attend is something I will regret.
We’ve emailed, ‘liked’ and comments on one another’s posts before,
I want to put a face to a name and discuss juggling work vs family and much more.
You’re an inspiration, a woman I’m looking forward to meeting,
What a lovely day of good company, conversation and eating.

  4. Chantelle I’d love to hear all about the journey you took with developing your App Little Moments as well as hearing about what’s coming next (you’re always up to something fun!). It would be great to see the latest Olympus in action (I use an Olympus Pen Mini and love it) and a special lunch with sweet company would be extra nice as it’s my birthday that day ;-p

  5. In my line of work I have an extreme lack of adult female interaction, I would really love to sit, relax and hear some conversation and just have fun. Dogs and cats are purrfectly fine to work with but they don’t converse so well.
Joining in on the Melbourne lunch would just be the breath of fresh air I am in need of right now.
Pick me! Pick Me ! 🙂

  6. I would love to have lunch with you please please pick me!
Having a lovely girl day out and meeting some new friends sounds devine.
Would love to talk photography, and tips on topics to blog about.
    Sounds like a perfect day

  7. Mum of almost 6 month old Charlotte and I would love to join you for lunch also for the adult conversation, and to get some inspiration for taking photos of my baby girl other than just laying her on the floor and taking the pic.

  8. Two things that are at the top of my list are babies and photography! I’ve been a FMSphotoaday’er from day one and I love that you’ve inspired this little hobby of mine that’s grown into a passion I’d love to further. Also our uber cute babies. What’s not to chat about them!

  9. Oh Chantelle I would love to meet and lunch with you, to hear your photography tips in person I have been following you with much love and respect since Lacey was just small. (Must try not to be star struck 😉 )

  10. Well wouldn’t this just he a dream come true?! So excited that you’re heading to Melbourne. As well as all the knowledge I could soak up at a lunch like this, I’d simply LOVE to know how you keep your blogging/Instagramming mojo going through the roller coaster thatcis the bloggosphere.

  11. Lunch with you and at the langham. Ohhhh fancy! Love to chat about all things photography and juggling the family life & work but let’s be honest we will all end up nattering about our kids & if we should or should not have another piece of cake!

  12. Please get me away from the suburbs and my baby for a few hours! I beg you!! Lol. Photography is my passion and easy going honest down to earth convos about motherhood are a given.

  13. I would love to have lunch with you and chat about me following your blog and photo a day when i move to England the following week!!! I have two young boys and my husband has today gone ahead to set up home in England for us so I have five weeks on my own with the boys!! An adult lunch would be wonderful!

  14. I have been a stay/work at home mum for 13 years and am seriously lacking some adult conversation!
I would like to chat about photography and capturing the beauty of life as it passes by so quickly. Not to mention putting a face to the person I’ve been following for a number of years since you were a regular on kidspot!

  15. I’d love to chat with you about blogging and photography and all the things, really! I think it would be fun to get your insights on living a great life and making the most of the opportunities that come your way.

Would be lovely to see you in my part of the world. x

  16. Oh my giddy goodness! What can I say except I’d love to finally meet you in person Chantelle, and spend a fabulous afternoon lunching with a bunch of awesome gals, and the Olympus gang! I love all things photography and a girls gotta eat too!

  17. I would love to chat about the process of going from having an idea about a rad photography challenge, to having 100 people joining in, to 5,000 then 10,000, and more and more… the impact of it catching on in such a big way and what those milestones were like. I’d love to hear how you balance life and blogging, how you deal with criticism, and keep fanning your dreams, and how it feels to see your dream on my iPhone. What a fun lunch that would be.

  18. I’d luv the chance to meet you. I luv your page & the others you’ve suggested. I’ve just started blogging & will definately be signing up to the next Clever Cookie course. (We have holiday planned for this time).
I’ve just decided I need to find me!!! I am a stay at home mum, 3 kids, hubby etc… But I need to be more.

  19. It would be an absolute honour to meet you. I’d love to chat about all things photography; telling stories through photos, using different filters, the best time to crop photos, how you stay on top and motivated with your Instagram posting. And all of this over a delicious lunch and a glass of wine, sounds like a dream come true.

  20. Wow how amazing!
I’d love to join you for lunch and talk about the weather, fashion, photography, food… anything that’s not related to being a parent. It’s my birthday week and what an awesome way to celebrate me 🙂

  21. Please come to Canberra Chantelle!! We always get forgotten.
Worst part of living here is missing out on awesome things like this and Zoe Foster-Blake’s meet and greets.

  22. I would love to “do lunch” with you all and as I am “over 50” I would love to chat about blogging and photography and learn so new tricks from those who understand it all.

  23. I’d love to come too, and meet other mums who enjoy photography and are trying to manage the craziness of life running a little business with small children 🙂

Sounds very fun and delicious and inspiring xo I’d learn a lot and enjoy sharing ideas and passions, stories, and troubles 😉

I’m a HUGE little moments fan (a little bit addicted), on IG meganthomas67
    and fb https://www.facebook.com/BigTreePhotography

my little business is just 1 year old and I have more questions than answers.

I might be kind of excited too as it’s only two days before we fly out to the USA on Sept 18th !!

    http://www.bigtreephotography.com.au/

    🙂 thank you xo

  24. I would love to meet you and chat about how to blog when you have children and stay motivated as well as enjoy a lovely lunch at The Langham just before my baby arrives!

  25. I’d love to meet you and a whole bunch of like minded ladies and just sit and soak up all the conversations and chat about inspiration, motivation, passion and the love of capturing lifes little moments while drinking bubbles…and lots and lots of giggles…and perhaps drinking more bubbles. I’m an old dog that needs to learn new tricks 🙂

  26. I would absolutely love to attend. I love meeting other bloggers and chatting blogs (my partner gets an earful!) I would love to discuss the challenges other bloggers face and the best parts of blogging. Fingers crossed!

(please note my email address is rebeccassunday@gmail.com – wordpress keeps changing it with another letter 🙁 I don’t know why…)

  27. Unfortunately, I don’t live in Melbourne. But, oh my, the Langham, you and your lucky 25 will have a fabulous day! X

  28. As a busy mum of three who lives in regional Victoria I would love a day in Melbourne! I would love to discuss life, attitudes to parenting, photography and the blogger phenomonon.

  29. What’s better than a girly lunch? A girly lunch with you, fab food, photo talk and did I mention you? I’d love to lunch with you Chantelle and finally meet the woman who inspires me daily! <3

  30. I’d love to sit down and chat to you about staying positive and motivated as a mum and working! Your happiness and motivation is inspiring and uplifting! I would love to catch some of it from you!

  31. I would love to come to lunch to discuss photography and food. Photography because l love your app and photos. Food because some of my favorite recipes are from your blog.

  32. I’d love to meet you and other fabulous women over lunch 🙂 I love your blogs and especially remember the article you wrote about your sea change and the trials and tribulations of meeting new people – well that’ll be my challenge in a few months as we make the sea change to The Great Ocean Road. I too, will know not a soul down there, and I’d love to talk more of your brave move! The date is perfect timing too as I will have just spent the last month being a slave to my house and garden as I get it ready for sale, and we will have just had the 1st Open for Inspection! It’ll give me something to really look forward to after this hard slog ahead! I’m a Mum to a 7 year old boy, and apart from voluntary work in the community I haven’t been back to ‘official work’ as such, so I’d love to hear how you juggle family and work, and get some confidence back that I can do it too. Oh and did I tell you I love writing and photography ? …..so I’d love plenty of chat on these 2 passions of ours !

  33. I would LOVE to do lunch with you and give you the biggest hug and thank you for the amazing difference you have made to my life…..I can’t even write anymore than that right now as I’m overcome with emotion trying to think of the words to thank you……..❤️

  34. YUM, ladies lunch!!! I would love to talk about what makes Melbourne the worlds most livable city and the 5th most friendliest bunch of people!!!…with some lovely ladies who make up part of that!!! Photography, Iphone addictions, fashion and what’s in my sandwhich also great topics of chatter!!!

  35. I’d just like to have adult conversation on just about anything (politeness dictates we steer clear of religion and politics, right?) with ladies who clearly have a similar strain of interests and aspects on life considering we are all commenting on and liking this blog.

  36. Oh me, please, please, please. Adult conversation with intelligent, creative woman just does not come around often enough. Actually, it barely arrives at all ever right now… I’d be happy to chat about anything and I’d especially love the opportunity to contribute and not have to drop my usual one liners such as “are you listening to me?” “take your hands out of your pants”, don’t play stacks on on top of your brother” and those alike.
I’d particularly like to hear any tidbits about how to capture quality shots and those that particularly translate well on a blog. I’d love to hear about the beginnings of the Little Moments app and how you turned mummy blogger into successful entrepreneur (seriously how did it all come about?). We could talk Mum to Mum and I’d simply just like to meet other creative individuals who I know will inspire me. Please get me out of the ‘burbs for the day! x

  37. Wow a chance to meet you in person Chantelle! I’d really enjoy chatting about what inspires you. I’d love to get a glimpse into your persona because you are such a positive female role model here in Australia. You have achieved your success whilst raising two little ladies and balancing daily family life proof that women can do good things! It would be a wonderful occasion to share lunch at the Langham with Donna Hilton and other Melbourne ladies with some Olympus photography on the menu!

  38. I would love to sit & ask u how you balance kids and work. Im an architect w 2 kids and want to go out on my own. I also want to pick your creative brain and ask where u get your creativeness from? You really inspire me!

  39. Legend tells of a proper sit down lunch with people over 3 feet tall, from long ago and far away. Lol. I’d love an opportunity to sit down with you. I’m the primary photo taker in our family which is why I’m never short of a photo whenever a food, baby or Father’s Day photo competition comes up. Just not Mother’s Day comps because there are never any photos of me.
I’d love to talk to you about managing a work at home balance. I’m a consultant engineer but I have to go to the office to get anything done. I’d love to work at home but I can’t seem to make it work. Please oh wise one…. Guide me

  40. Oh Chantelle,
Where do I start on what I’d like to talk to you about. Basically your blog says it all, how to live life inspired, dreaming big and keeping the passion and fire alive and how to multitask the art of work, kiddies, family, and following and living your passions and dreams. That belief and positive vibe that exists through your blog and everything you do.
And the chance to go out, like really out. To something other than a picnic or a pizza place, I mean wow? What’s that like?
    Thanks for the chance. xx

  41. As long as it wasn’t “Mummy, did Herbie do a cream fart?”, which I got at lunch today, I think I’d be happy to chat about anything. Unfortunately, I work on Tuesdays. Botheration (as my favourite OBEM midwife says).

  42. Lunch with no interruptions from a screaming newborn? I’m sure I could find a babysitter for my tiny bubba for that! And the Langham. Yes please!!

  43. ZOMG YES PLEASE!!! I’d hug you and we’d trade stories about our cheeky 1yos (1!!! Can you believe it??). And probably squee about meeting you in the flesh after sooooo many years!

  44. Well obviously I’d tell you how gorgeous you are (because, duh) and then you’d tell me how gorgeous I am (because, duh 😛 ). We’d trade stories about our 1yos (for serious, 1??? How did THAT happen???). And I’d probably squee about meeting you in the flesh after sooooo many years. And obvs there’d be a hug in there somewhere, because duh, YOU’RE AWESOME!

  45. As an older woman I no longer have to worry about interrupted lunches but it does concern me how distant our generations are burp echoing due to technology and the speed our world is moving at. I’d love some conversation on how we can use photography, social media and all things. 2014 to keep us and those older than me connected and involved in the lives of younger people, knowing how to support the mums of today to help them to navigate the journey they’re on while not imposing ‘old’ ways yet not losing those ways because sometimes they are what work. Love the Langham and a great excuse for a new dress and accessories!

  46. This sounds like such a fun lunch. I would possibly have to write myself a sticky note and put it in the palm of my hand with a reminder to a) actually speak to you and not get nervous and b) once I start chatting to not get overrun with nerves and just not shut up. Once I had these minor issues out of the way I’d love to chat creative ideas and how you manage them all. I would also be highly interested in how you deal personally with negative people who just never seem to have a nice word to say. If we still had time I would like to hear what you think of this new Olympus camera, because I need to buy something, but I am concerned I will still be using my phone as that is what I have attached to me all day long, would I use a swanky new camera like I think I would?

  47. I’d love to talk to you about the progression of your blogs growth, I remember it in it’s 1.0 form and would love to know what it’s been like to be inside those changes, how it’s felt, what it’s taken, what it’s meant, how it looks now, and whether you have time to reflect on how far it’s come. Would be a delight. x

  48. I’d love to join you for lunch in melb! And pick your brains (not literally of course, I’m not a zombie!) about what inspires you when it comes to photography. I am a freelance photographer myself and would love to talk all things photography!

  49. Pick me pick me! I adore taking photos, I was the teenager with camera in hand. Doesn’t mean I’m brilliant now. I’d love to discuss capturing those ‘little moments’ and how to do so without feeling like an over bearing parent. I’d also love to hear about how a compact camera can stand up against the not so compact dslr. Mine almost damages my shoulder. Ps. And the lunch, now that would be just lovely.

  50. I’ve been on PAD for over a year now and love it. I work full time and can’t always contribute but I can’t describe how much the group and the concept has helped me deal with my depression, social anxiety and chronic health issues. I would love to have a couple of hours away from “real life” to just enjoy some good food, good conversation and most of all good company. Pick me, pick me! Lol

  51. Oh Chantelle, I would love to just love to have a giggle with you!
I am pretty sure, by the sounds of this fabulous lunch there would be loads of spontaneous conversations going on….a lovely day out with new friends I have yet to meet! xx
    P.s. Shall I RSVP now

  52. I would love to talk to you about blogging and how to be a successful blogger. I am wanting to start a blog that incorporates my life with two autistic boys and how we go about getting the resources and help we need to hopefully be able to help other parents

  53. Hi Chantelle,
Girly chat, yummy food and photography skills would be at the top of my list at the Melbourne lunch! 🙂

  54. Chantelle I would love to put a face to the name! Chat, listen and learn about photography, blogging, juggling family with work, living away from the big smoke… but mostly find a bucket of inspiration from lots of lovely interesting ladies!

  55. Ooh I’d love to talk to you about stuff other than photography and kids! I’m sure there’s plenty of other fascinating stuff to learn, and any adult conversation is a good one I think!

  56. I would like to have a rather serious discussion about cake, and our seemingly mutual love of all things bright and cute! I would then pick your brains on how to take amazing photos of particularly wriggly one-year-old munchkins!

  57. Hi Chantelle, I’m at a crossroad in my life (newly redundant), with two little one of my own and ready to take my blog to the next level. I would love to chat photography, creativity and business. Chantal x

  58. I alwaaaays would love to learn more about taking good photos, capturing beautiful moments. I had a few crash course on photography but when it comes to applying the theory, I always got catched up in chasing the little ones, trying to get things organised for the kids. Maybe I just have such short attention span. A chance to chat with you and like minded ladies – I am sure that will rekindle my passion to capture little things in life!

  59. Oh Chantelle, I feel your pain lovely lady! I would love to cruise down from Ballarat for a dignified lunch and be around some awesome adult people. Love the positivity that you give out (and I know unfortunately do not always get back) Basically I think you are all sorts of awesome and I would love to chat about photography, the FMSphotoaday challenge and how your blog has gone from strength to strength. Fingers and toes crossed! x

  60. Hi Chantelle, I’d love to chat with whoever I’d be sat next to about dreams, desires and design! Melbourne is my home city and I’ll be in town that week, chasing after all three of those things. It is super easy to connect over FMS fandom anyway! 🙂

  61. Would love to chat all things blogging, babies (I have a nearly 6yo girl & a 1yr old girl with a boy in the middle!) & taking beautiful pics of gorgeous moments with said small peeps & life in general xx

  62. Having a grown up conversation with you and other like-minded folks without kids interrupting every 5 minutes sounds divine! Thanks for the opportunity!

  63. Yay for Melbs!!!!

I’d love, love LOVE to come along and have a chat about the balancing act between being a mum, partner, blogger and the million other titles we take on, and how it works for you.
I’d love to chat about how you stay inspired and where your inspiration comes from.
And lets face it I’d love to finally meet you and use one of those fancy Olympic cameras to take a selfie of the two of us.
    xx
I hope you get the chance to stick around in Melbourne town for a bit. It really is a lovely place

  64. Gee, how long could we stretch this lunch out?

I’d love to finally meet you face to face after being apart of various online communities with you. You’ve always been so gracious and approachable online and I totally love that about you! You always make time to reply and have helped me out more than once, which I really appreciate and I owe you a hug or two. Xx

You’ve been a great success in Blogging and App building and I would love to talk to you about them both. I want to take my blog to the next level, I just need a bit of help. I think I should do your blogging school too. I know I have more them enough skills and potential, so with a newly migrated & designed blog I’m ready! I would also love to talk about photography and the Olympas Camera, I want to hear how I can improve the way I take images on my blog and in every day life. I’ve tweeted with them in the past and they directed me to your blog to read more. I was already reading but it was great to see them promote they were working with a blogger. I can only hope I can keep working towards this.

    Look foreward to seeing you.

  65. Hi! What an amazing lunch that would be!
I would love to chat about, and chat to, the most important thing, your readers! I would love to meet you and all the other people in attendance who are all there because we have something in common, a love of blogs. Reading them, writing them or just being inspired by them x

  66. I am currently under going treatment for cancer and my gorgeous friend Kay is one amazing person helping me and my family through some tough times. She is a mad photographer and this would be something small that I could do got her, take her out to lunch and talk photography.

  67. Hi. I’ve been following you for a very long time now and through Photo a day I have learned to see a photo opportunity in everything. With three young children my camera is my little bit of me space. Lately I have been so busy and I haven’t picked up my camera as much as I would like to. A lunch with you and other fab, likeminded women would be just the right way to find back my mojo. xxx

  68. Hi Chantelle .. eewww lovely girly lunch! what a treat!
I’d love to tell you all about the amazing community that we have created in facebook based around your Photo a Day Challenge, the extraordinary group of people who’ve found their way in to our group and in to the challenge from all around the world .. what an amazing community has developed and all the amazing things that we have brought to each other well over and above “the Challenge” 😀 I’d love to let you know how your challenge has changed some of our lives, brought us amazing comfort and support and helped some of our group members through some really tough times! I’d love to tell you all about the amazing people who have inspired me while doing the challenge on instagram too!

  69. Hahahaha you are in soooooo much trouble…How’re you ever going to pick? Wouldn’t wanna be you. Hahaha

  70. Oh my!
I’ve been waiting so excitedly for the opportunity to enter this. What wouldn’t I like to chat about at this much anticipated event? I would just love to hear all about your mega-successful blog; your new App; your wonderful camera and gain some tips for my own camera’s use and blogging in general. Then there would be the ultimate opportunity to meet some other Melbourne-based bloggers. Lastly, early September is my Birthday (a big one) and I would just melt at the chance to be treated to such great company at the stunning Langham Hotel!
I’m crossing everything on this one!

  71. I would love some photography tips! We are heading off on a lap of Australia next year and I would love to be able to get some gorgeous shots to keep the kids memories alive! Also quite like to meet you xx

  72. Wow lunch with adults & not my toddler & baby that would be a treat. I’d love to chat anything adult haha. On a serious note share tips on taking great photos using a phone or a real camera & just life in general 🙂

  73. Oh wow just look at all the beautiful comments here. So many Melburnians who you inspire and entertain every day – a testament to what an outstanding blogger and person you are 🙂
I’m such a fan of your blog, your words are like hearing from a friend, your photos and creative ideas make me happy and your food makes me hungry! I love trying your recipes and am a passionate cake baker too.
I would be so thrilled to meet you & find out more about how you fit it all in! As a mum of two girls myself trying to do a bit of work I’m trying to find that balance.
Can’t wait to see who you pick!! 🙂 xx

  74. Going out to lunch with you sounds fabulous Chantelle! This last year since having my third child I have found that I have lost the blogging love I once had. I miss blogging and I’d love to get re inspired by you to get back into it. I’d love to know how you do it, how you manage to keep going even with lack of sleep or loads of negativity. You are very inspirational , lunching with you would be wonderful! x

  75. I would love to meet you, discuss all things children, hobbies and blogging! I am doing primary teaching at uni so I love to hear how parents see their children and to hear how the learning development is taking place at home! I love photography, crafts, and of course blogging! I would alos love totake you to Melbourne Zoo and experience the fantastic Keeper Kids area that I volunteer in.

  76. How gorgeous! I would love to have lunch with you and an amazing group of women Chantelle talking about the incredible power of photography to bring people together. It creates memories, laughs, tears, joy and so much more.

Combine all that with some tea on fancy china at The Langham and you can’t go wrong!

  77. How exciting! I would adore a chance to meet you Chantelle, it would mean a big tick off my bucket list! I’d love to chat with you about all things creative, blogging and photography. Oh and lets not forget the kiddies, they always come up don’t they? Thanks for the opportunity! xx

  78. Oh where do to begin ! I’d love to chat about following through on the big ideas. How you stay motivated and on top of things. And wine. And Melbourne.

  79. Oh my – this would be AMAZING! I would love to hang out with you Chantelle and meet other amazing people with the chance to chat about all the things that make us smile! I would also like to be re-inspired to get out my camera again rather than relying on my phone for all of my photos, it’s just not the same. I need to get my camera mojo back!
    xx

  80. It would be lovely to sit with a group of like-minded people who will listen intently and not check their phones mid-conversation. People who read your blog aren’t people that do that. It really gives me the irrits. Is irrits a word? But to have some wind down time, relaxing the shoulders in a gorgeous atmosphere, hearing from an inspiring woman who followed her dream…wouldn’t that be just ace?

  81. As one of your oldest followers, it would be my absolute pleasure to come dine with you telle! The conversation would flow naturally over our shared loves … Come meet me in Melbs telle x

  82. to be honest I’ll probably be completely tongue tied!! but you won’t be able to wipe the smile off my dial 😀 and with 25 other lovely, smart, creative women chatting away I would be totally content to just listen!!

  83. Chantelle, there is one simple reason I have to come to your lunch. We need to negotiate the return of the hours you are obviously stealing from my day to do all sorts of incredible things with. You’re only leaving me with enough time to whack on some anti-ageing cream, wipe a few baby bums, and attempt to cook a semi-healthy dinner for the family!
But seriously, I’m a mum of 2 wee ones, child psychologist, PAD addict, wannabe blogger and fellow pluviophile, who loves to discuss anything and everything. Would be a pleasure to lunch with you 🙂

  84. Oh, what a wonderful lunch this will be! After I got over being speechless and star struck because I’ve followed and admired your blog for so long, I’d love to talk about all things family, fun, photography and blogging – and bringing all of those together. There are so many lovely comments here that it would be a most amazing table to have the joy of being a part of.

  85. You are an inspiration to me and I would love to sit with you and ask you lots and lots about how you started your journey and why and what was your inspiration and motivation.
To be in a room with likeminded people, feeding off each other.
I would really love to start a blog and have wanted to email you about it so many times….please pick me ! x

  86. Yes please! Let’s chat about having a dream and chasing it until it comes true (and photography and kids, all things pink, great food and how terrifying and exciting it is all at the same time to do new things!)

  87. I’d love to join you for lunch Chantelle! So much in fact that I’m prepared to play hookey from work {just kidding! I’m actually too honest IRL, but sometimes I like to dream that I’m bad-ass 🙂 } I would love to talk to you about colours! Your photos always seem to capture colour beautifully. Whenever I take a photo, then put a filter on it, it always seems so blah, blah, blah {I thought filters were supposed to make everything awesome?} Anway, any tips you can give me would be totes appreciated!

  88. Lunch @ The Langham with a bunch of creative ladies ….HEAVEN! …..and the cherry on the top would be meeting you! I’m lusting after a new camera [my 8 year old Canon just doesn’t do it for me anymore] and would love to check out the latest Olympus’.

  89. I’d really really love to be involved. I’m just learning photography and am so inspired by your blog and your little tips. I’m also really keen to hear about your app!

  90. I’m excited you’re coming to Melbourne! I would love to do lunch and discuss photography and blogs. I love taking photos and love writing, but would really appreciate some expert tips on doing both and doing them well.

  91. Wow, how exciting! I would absolutely LOVE to meet you, it would be a real honour. You radiate and inspire so much positivity, happiness and joy. Lunch with a group of lovely like minded ladies sounds like a perfect spring day in beautiful Melbourne.
I have a passion for photography and all things, creative and fun. It will be an amazing day.

  92. HECK YES I want to come.
I am partial to a delicious lunch and good company (salad wraps and my own children come close but I have done that 10,000,000 times already so I am open to new experiences there, sorry kids).

I’d talk about eye candy (not the male variety). The colourful, whimsical and pleasing things that we seek and see and often try and photograph.

  93. Any chance there will be a Canberra version of this?? If not, I might have to treat myself to a trip to Melbourne….

  94. I’d love to lunch without the vegemite fingerprints, but it sounds like we could trade tactics about how to consume a cup of tea before it goes stone cold and the best way to answer a phone call whilst bribing a baby to be quiet at your feet. I’d love to chat (uninterrupted and in clean clothes!) about how to use imagery and photos to tell or enrich the story within a blog post.

  95. Me please, I’d just love to chat to everyone & of course you Chantelle. This would be great ky get away from the kids for a bit too. I love to just talk any topics good haha 🙂

  96. oooh I would be so excited to meet you for lunch in Melbourne !! I would chat about how fantastic it is that Spring is here and that the sun was finally back !! and then I would probably trip over my words, as I try to explain how happy I was to be at the Langham child free !! And then I would probably order a glass of champagne just because I could !! oh and then I would ooooh and ahhhh over the Olympus camera and think about all the snaps I could take of the child free lunch !! ha ha. And then it might actually be polite of me to actually introduce myself and tell you that I think you do a fabulous job, juggling all the batons that you do and still manage to hold it together ( even if it’s only by a small thread somedays !! ). If I don’t get picked I may just have to absail down the side of the langham just to say hello !! xxx

  97. I’d love to chat about starting a blog, something that’s been on my list of things to do since having my first baby almost 13 years ago. My priorities always seem to be for my 4 kiddies, I’d love to get something started for me. xx

  98. I would be quite happy just to get to meet you in person ,and be grateful to get photography tips and listen to your ideas and comments, also to meet some fellow fmsers , get to know you the person who started this wonderful worldwide page, but i am willing to give my spot up if you did choose me so donna hilton can go 🙂

  99. Ooooh I would love to come! I’d love to sit and chat about our kids and I’d want to pick your brains for photography tips for capturing my cherubs best angles. It’d be so much fun!

  100. No matter what witty thing I say that I will chat about, the reality is I will end up taking about wine, food, the intricate life details of the person sitting next to me (I’m all about the details) and how freaking much I want the Olympus OMD EM10. I am currently saving my pennies for one and would love to have a play.

  101. Photography, friendships, food and family. LOVE to talk about all of these things! I’ve done #fmsphotoaday for a year and never imagined I’d get so much out of it – the community is AMAZING! I’ve made some gorgeous friendships I wouldn’t otherwise have made, and those wonderful people have inspired a creativity in my photos that I’m proud of. Would so love to chat all things photography over fab food with new friends who may quickly become part of my IG family.

  102. I must confess, I’m not much of a talker! But I’d love to give it a try… I’d love to learn more about digital photography (being an old school 35mm film photographer from way back and still so excited that I can now talk as many shots as I like for FREE!) more than that though, I’d love to just take it all in, everything else everyone else is talking about.

  103. I thought I had missed the cut-off for this so I’m pleased I’ve scraped in! 🙂 Other than the chance to eat and drink with a bunch of creative women, I’d love to know if there’s a secret to growing a thicker skin.

  104. The opportunity to have lunch with you and other like-minded, interesting and amazing individuals would be an honour and terribly exciting! I moved to Victoria from New Zealand 16 years ago and I have to say I love Melbourne city. There are many reasons it keeps being voted the most liveable city in the world! I’d love to share with you my passion for the place I call home. Melbourne has an amazing balance of old and new architecture, distinctive trams, amazing sculptures all over the city and up and down the highways. That’s just the start! The city is full of culture and the people love sport, food and theatre all of which are world class. There are so many photographic opportunities to embrace everywhere you go. Although most people, Melbournians included, may disagree with me, I think the weather is AMAZING! You never know what you are going to get and I love how that keeps things interesting! My fingers are crossed!

  105. Oh my goodness! I just got so incredibly excited when I read this… possibly even more excited than when I saw your new banana cake recipe (and that’s really saying something because I love cake and that banana cake looks totally scrumptious!). I would absolutely love to sit down with you and chat all things photography. I must admit that I only bought a camera a couple of months ago and I’ve been trying really hard to play around with different settings, the aperture and shutter speed, but there’s still so much more to know! I would love to pick your brain about food photography (particularly how to overcome the dull light that is often a problem in Melbourne) as that’s the main focus of my blog. Oh and if there’s time I’m dying to find out what your favourite cake recipe is too 🙂 xxx

  106. Love to chat about …. Everything, anything, as long as with a group of like minded free spirited women enjoying being alive & relishing each others company! How rare & special is that? I have recently left a marriage of 20 yrs where my husband forbid me to go out with my girlfriends. Therefore you can imagine an opportunity like this is VERY special to me! If I am lucky to be added to invitee list I am certain I will be able to provide hrs of very topical discussion pts! The real truth about the freedom and rights of a woman in the 21st Century will definitely be one of them!

  107. I’d love to chat about Luella’s little baby toes and exactly how much you’d have to pay me to not eat them.

  108. I’d love to chat about making things happen, finding balance, creating your own niche and generally having a good go of you and the other wonderful women xx

  109. I’d love the opportunity to come and have a chat over a leisurely lunch Chantelle! I enjoy taking photographs and using apps like yours to give my pics extra vibrancy. I’d love to hear about your journey which I’ve followed with interest for some time and which I find utterly fascinating! And perhaps I could share a little about my passion which is nurturing children’s creativity. You see, I own a company that offers creative arts experiences. It is called Bazil Grumble and as the Artistic Director I am always traveling to regional and sometimes remote settings in Australia and internationally to teach drama (and many other fun things) to children and young people! I occasionally present segments on clay animation for children’s television and do some radio and writing too. I love my job and the biggest inspirations in my life are my two munchkins aged 5 and 8. If I was to lunch with you I’d definitely chat about them because they are my pride and joy!

  110. I would love to meet you, have lunch and chat about photography, food & baking and (as a proud mother as well) the kids of course.

I’ve been doing PAD for 21 months now and love that you have inspired me and now I look at things differently. I’ve discovered a love for photography and hope to learn how to use a ‘big girl’ camera

  111. I would love to meet you and lots of other FMS readers at the lunch. My friend Kirralee went to the GC event and said it was awesome! I’d also like to learn more about how to take great photos for my blog (www.styleandshenanigans.com). Visual content is so important! I’d also to have an opportunity to meet you – I missed catching up with you at #pbevent. I have a Myki card so I’m all good to go! x

  112. I think it would be a wonderful chance to share, learn and interact with like minded wonderful women in an oh so stylish atmosphere! Thanks for the opportunity! 🙂

  113. I would love for my Melbourne bestie, Melinda, to do lunch with you. She’s just managed to finish an Fine Arts degree (maj in photography) whilst juggling 3 young children, a husband, a dog, several dying goldfish & a house build whilst completing her degree & I think lunch would be a great celebration for her particularly when the topic is right up her arty alley 🙂

  114. Ooohh you’re visiting my town! I’d love to chat and catch up with you. I really want to know about your city to sea move how it is all going. PS: Go KSS.

  115. I would love to meet you Chantelle and discuss your blogging journey and of course food (especially sweet things). I am also very interested in your seachange.

  116. I would LOVE to catch up over lunch. You really are inspiring to me. But more than that you remind me that I am human just like everyone else when I have a sleepless household at night! I have a burning blogger desire in me and I have a feeling it’s nearly my turn to do something for me! What better way to kick start myself but with an amazing treat to lunch with you… Oh and Langham food…oh the drool! Xx

  117. I am so excited you are coming to Melbourne, I have been patiently waiting! I would love the opportunity to meet you and talk all things photography, blogging, food and of course our babies. You are such an inspiration how you juggle everything and have such balance and so much time for family, I myself am a mum of 2 and it can be crazy.

  118. I would love to say Hi! Hopefully not fall over my tongue and babble in a complete fangirl moment. I’m a photography addict and would love to talk about tips and tricks to make it easier capturing photos while juggling kids.

  119. Wow, what an amazing following you have, I would love the opportunity to meet like minded people in my town, most of my friends love what I do, but are not really into photography. My mission is to surround myself with creative minds and this sounds like the perfect chance. I am new to FMS and photoaday, and finding it really stimulating – forcing me to think creatively in the every day. Would love to meet you Chantelle and get to know a little about the person behind this beautiful community you have created!

  120. The chance to get a glamorous for the afternoon would be a little bit exciting. Leave the worries of the world behind, have a cocktail and to chat with other creative types…
    What an opportunity!

  121. Lunch with adults, talking about photography….YES PLEASE!! I can even draw you a mud map of what to see, do in Melbourne. <3

  122. Oh Chantelle I hear you!

I’ve just started solids with my 6 month old and I am brave enough to tackle baby led weaning. Lets just say I’m EXHAUSTED! I never thought feeding a tiny human being would be such hard work and oh the mess!!

I’d love to chat to you about anything and everything! I’d love to hear all about your experience at Problogger (although I have read your blog about it!) I’d love to chat about e-courses, tips on iPhonoegraphy and your insights on how you keep your audience happy when you blog about varying topics.

I’d love to lunch with you at the Langham! You really can’t visualise a better juxtaposition of how we’d normally be dining and it just so happens it’s my Mums day off work and she’d be more then happy to babysit!

  123. I would really just love to meet you and talk all things life. Your pretty amazing. I too am sleep deprived (well your not anymore but I am) I don’t get out much….ever ha! Being an adult for a few hours would be lovely ox

  124. This sounds sublime! I’m a lover hearty conversation. I’m an amateur photographer, a storyteller, a tea aficionado, a social justice advocate, a rock n’ roll fan-girl, a cancer survivor, and mother of two delightful little ones. I’d love to talk about what I try to capture in my photos and stories: all that is meaningful and precious. And I hope our conversations will be speckled with much cheer and laughter.

  125. Hi Chantelle……well this sounds like a combination of 3 things that I love…..lunch, photography and blogging! I am a newbie to the blogging world and would love to learn how to take better photos as my blog is very visual (www.gallerieb.com). I also love my city of Melbourne and would love to share with you some great places to visit. Thank you!
