Thank you so much for this! Can’t wait to try it out on my pics.
Have fun!
Thanks for this tutorial, it’s like you read my mind (again)! xx
I’m in YOUR head!
Hmmmm. I’ve never been forced to crop my photos into a square when using PicTapGo. I can even opt to post to Instagram in its full size from PicTapGo, so that Instagram doesn’t crop it down as it it does.
Oh I mean Diptic! Let me fix that. x
Love this! Going to have so much more fun with my Instagram pictures now!
Has anyone found any free android apps that does this please ?
Oh yes. I meant to write that in the post. If anyone has any idea how to do it in Android, please share. x
I have an andRaid and use pixlr express. If you go into adjustment then colour there is a hue option where you can change the colour of your pics.
Oh thanks so much !
I use Aviary, it’s free on Android and iOS and I think it works great. You should really check it out 🙂
I use the app Picsart for a long time now and they’ve just introduced a color wheel. It’s awesome for this kind of photo’s! I’ve tried different apps and this one works best for me.
I was going to leave the same comment as Dawn. One thing I love about PicTapGo is that you DON’T have to crop your pics to a square. You can leave them full-size (or crop them into various rectangles, if you wish) then when you’re at the “go” stage, just choose “Instagram full” and it will let you post to insta in your original size.
I’m really loving the candy look of these pics! Thanks for the tutorial! I can’t wait to give it a try!!
I love that!! How cool! We’re going overseas in a few weeks and this will be perfect for having a play around with some tropical beachy photos!! Thanks 🙂
Pixlr Express for android users. My fave editing app!
Just select your photo & select adjustment. Then select colour. From there you can change hue, saturation and lightness.
You can also use the original size photo, no need to crop 🙂
Diptic is designed for an Iphone do you know of any that are good for us Android users?
See my comment above Julie 🙂 Works a treat!
Hi Em. I’ve download Pixlr express on my Samsung and can’t find any of the options you are referring to – ie “adjustment” am I being silly or is there something I’m missing? Thanks! 🙂
There are 2 apps with the same name, sorted it out now. Thanks!
Sorry, just saw this! Hopefully you’ve found it all now! 🙂
LOVE!!!!! Can’t wait to go and play. SO MUCH FUN!!!
Will try it out! x
I have to try this out! How cool. 🙂
I use the Diptic desktop app and there you can adapt the ratio of your pictures, so you don’t have to limit yourself to the square options. Almost all the pictures and collages on my blog from before the summer are made with Diptic and you’ll see there are not many square ones…
How much fun, I just tried this and I’m hooked already 🙂 Thanks!
Awesome!! Thank you! Can’t wait to try this out myself 🙂
So fun!
I actually took a photo yesterday evening that was of the moon in a bright blue sky which I think will be perfect for this!
Thanks!
I love Aviary on android! ALL their features (effects, overlays, etc.) I think are still free temporarily with an Adobe account.
Great tutorial! I made one on my instagram @courtneyvioletbentleyfitness.bkk its the pink dancer one, after this and loved the way it looked! Thank you so much xo C
I do love candy! Will try this today x
Diptic app for android only lets you change brightness, contrast & saturation – cant actually change the colouring (unless i am completely using it wrong) 🙁 do you have any recommendations for another app similar to diptic? These pics are amazing…i want to join in :p
Wow those photos are so cool. I love editing my photos, there are some great apps out there.
Thanks for the recommendation of Pixlr. Its fantastic. Won’t be using any of those other photo editor apps on my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Awesome.
Just playing around with Diptic and I like it a lot. Thanks Chantelle!
Just found Squareready app – this lets you put borders round your image very easily so it meets the square format for instagram.
omg, love it!
Can you please do one with Android apps?
Chantelle, loved this read! I’m in photoshop playing with a palm tree image so I’m so happy to see your blog post come up when searching, much love!

Awesome !!!! How can capture that. Really nice and attractive.
Picsart is great for creating these effects as well.
Do you happen to have the link to Matt’s how to guide by any chance? I’d love to read it
