Win a signed copy of Riley and the Grumpy Wombat

My lovely and super talented friend Tania McCartney is releasing a new children’s book titled Riley and the Grumpy Wombat. I’m taking part in her blog/book tour by giving away a signed copy of her new book. Here’s a little about it:

Riley has discovered a wombat in his nanny’s garden. But why is this furry creature so grumpy? Join Riley and his friends from books one, two and three, as they zoom around the stunning sights of Melbourne in search of a wombat that simply needs a place to call home.

Featuring gorgeous black and white photos of Melbourne and surrounds, Riley and the Grumpy Wombat combines photos, illustrations, adorable characters, humour and an adventuresome storyline in a travelogue-style book that showcases Melbourne at its very best.

To be in the running to win a signed copy of Riley and the Grumpy Wombat, simply answer the following question: What makes you most grumpy?

  1. I am not at all pleased when I spend ages digging and planting in my lovely garden then find, a few days later, that snails have eaten my seedlings. Grrr.

  2. What makes me extremely grumpy is when I'm doing the laudry and I lift the lid on the washing machine, ready to hang out the washing, and then I see tiny, little pieces of TISSUE all over the clothes! Someone's forgotten to empty their pockets…again!!! Grrrr!!!

  3. hmmm there are a few things that make me grumpy, definately not enough sleep, rude people, parents who run late all the time to pick up there kids making my working day extra long,my kids constantly figthing …..

Cute book, I love reading to the kiddies and I am sure they would love this one…

  4. what makes me grumpy is when my hubby uses all his spare time to play games, though it melts my grumpiness when he reads our son a bedtime story every night with funny voices and all 🙂

  5. Little boys who don't use the toilet properly are frustrating, and cleaning up their messes makes me grumpy. Big boys who don't use the toilet properly make me not just grumpy, but furious! They should know better!

  6. my little riley-bear would love this book!

I am most grumpy when the children keep finding excuses to stay out of bed… I want some quiet time with dad before he goes to sleep, just get in to bed!

  7. My son Riley has said that 'It makes me grumpy when Samuel hits me' (we have just returned home from a birthday party where the birthday boy hit Riley!!!

  8. What makes me grumpy is when I haven't organised my day well and don't have enough time to snuggle up and read a book or two or three….to my child. It's the best time of the day for both of us, but being a mum of three, there are some days when I miss the one on one time I try to do with my kids – which is when I read them a book of their choice for as long as they want me to 🙂
