Win a double pass to the Bondi Short Film Festival and a Vado HD camera!

On Saturday November 26th Bondi hosts it’s own little Short Film Festival where 11 films created by Australia’s finest filmmakers are showcased. This year one of the wonderful sponsors are my friends from Lenovo, and to celebrate the Bondi Short Film Festival they’re giving one lucky Fat Mum Slim reader a double pass and a Vado HD camera {so perhaps they can create a film to submit in next year’s festival, or not!}.

To enter to be in the running to win this great prize leave a comment below answering the following question: What’s your all-time favourite film?

And don’t forget to like the Lenovo Facebook page, not only do they make good gear – they also do tonnes of awesome stuff for people and you gotta like that.

Competition closes Wednesday November 23rd November at 12 noon
Competition open to Australian residents only {preferably close to Sydney}

  1. I Loved (and still do love) Dead Poets Society…It holds a special place in my teenage heart… and in my mid 30's one too! So sad and inspirational!
PS – I couldnt win as I wouldnt be able to make it to Bondi… hehe.. I live in Melbourne, but would die for the camera!

  2. Cant wait for the bondi short film fest! My all time fav movie would have to be JAWS – I was obsessed as a little girl….and still am 🙂

  3. Hello there, hmmm… I think mine would have to be an old and much loved Scottish movie 'Gregory's Girl' a sweet coming-of-age film which came out when I was coming of age.

  4. Film teacher here so there are so many but one in my top ten (50!?) is The Fifth Element. Fun, over the top, woman saves the day and costumes by JP Gaultier!

  5. That's a BIG question.
For chic flick time, Four Weddings and a Funeral.
    For thriller The Sixth Sense.
For laughs A Fish Called Wanda. Classic! And showing my age…

  6. All time favourite film – The Shawshank Redemption. Film I can't stop watching over and over – Pride & Prejudice (the Colin Firth version!).

    cheers

  7. Oh I have so many favourites! I must mention “Amelie”, it is a fabulous movie and I even travelled to Mon Matre and had a coffee in Amelie's cafe in Paris. Beautiful.

  8. My favourite film would have to be Grease. It was the first movie I remember, and we did a 'grease' themed 6th grade play. Almost know it word for word.

  9. Awesome giveaway Chantelle… I'm a movie addict! But my all time fave has to be Dirty Dancing 🙂 Such a timeless movie… I'm a sucker for a good love story (and Patrick Swayze was just so gorgeous in it)!!

  10. My all time favorite would be French Kiss – Meg Ryan & Kevin Kline…for so many reasons that evoke so many memories and emotions…

Meg Ryan – Think this was one of the last movies she did where she still looked like that classic beauty (before all the botox and lip injections)…classic beauty/style/fashion and not too over the top (well OK a little in the acting but only as Meg can)

Kevin Kline – when he was still looking handsome/sexy and with a french accent and humour that he just nailed….OH and he does an amazing version of the French song La Mer….and he sounds so amazing…I did not know he had such a fantastic voice.

This movie is my husband and my movie…we love it together and reminds us of when we were in France…just holds a special significance for us!!

French scenery…vineyards….love story…humour…human relationships…vulnerability of everyone that we can assume is not there….music….shall I keep going???

And finally the song La Vie en Rose song…done both in English and French in the movie (and on the soundtrack…have that as well) is a beautiful song…and reminds me of my Mum….

So there you have it…truly a movie that holds a special place in my heart!!!
    Highly recommend…

  11. Hmm, I think it would a tie between, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Velocity of Gary and School's Out (the Degrassi movie!).

I have strange tastes! My favourite genre of movies is Horror, though a horror movie doesn't actually make it to my favourites!

  12. I am going to be soppy here and say a home movie we took of one of our boys first Christmas. He is so cute and funny with all his little looks of amazement. Makes me laugh every time we watch it.

  13. Hi! My favourite movie is “Life is Beautiful”. I think it is a beautiful and sad movie that makes us Gen-Yers really see how tragic that time in our world was. Makes me cry like a baby every time!

  14. Oh My, just one favourite movie…

At the moment, I would have to say Atonement or Penelope (little bit of James McAvoy theme going on there)

    Great competition Chantelle
