Win a beautiful Belle Bijoux handbag!

Over the past month or so I’ve come to know a little bit about a lovely lady named Belle. The first time I heard her name was actually when I was ogling her beautiful handbags and then a few weeks later I found myself talking to her on the phone. Well, talking may not have been quite the truth… more gushing really. She’s super lovely, and one of my kind of people. Kind, inspiring and just fun.

It seems Cosmopolitan agrees because they’ve made her one of their Fun, Fearless Female nominees. Belle is now a finalist {she made the top 3 in the entrepreneur category}, with the winners being announced later this month.

To celebrate Belle being a finalist {and hopefully a winner}, I’m giving away a beautiful Belle Bijoux Iris handbag {valued at $300}.

Simply leave a comment below answering the following question: Who is a fun, fearless female who inspires you?

Don’t forget to vote for Belle too! You have to vote in each category but it seriously only takes a minute. Vote here.

  1. Jessica Marais she is so gorgeous i love her role in Packed to the Rafters, shes fearless in taking on a new role in Miami a new show Magic City. shes awesome!

  2. Chrissie Swan from the Circle inspires me. A gorgeous and admirable  individual on so many levels. Insanely witty, incredibly smart, endlessly devoted to her partner, loves her babies with every fibre in her heart . All I know is that listening and watching Chrissie makes me smile, she makes me want to be a better person everyday!

  3. Anna Bligh because she always looks at ease as her role as Qld premier. She knows how to handle the difficult situations and does her best no matter what. She'd give Julia Gillard a run for her money…

  4. I have voted for the lovely Belle. I would also like to say that I think Belle is my fave FFF. A Perth gal who grabbed an opportunity and ran with it fearlessy and is now reaping the rewards. Bravo.

  5. Kate Cebrano is an amazing Australian woman who is fun, fearless, generous, a role model for girls and women to be successful and comfortable with yourself.

  6. My mum, she lives by the motto “It's never too late”!

She had to leave school when she was 14 to hear her parents support their family of 10.

Despite this, she has never let not finishing highschool intimidate her.

When she left her first abusive marriage, she went back to school (aged 35).

Later she became a Salvation Army Officer because she believes in fighting for people who can't fight for themselves. When the Salvos told her she couldn't train as a counsellor with a different church, she left the Salvos because she wanted to be able to help more people.

She became a writer and a poet and a university lecturer at the age of 55, and is currently studying her PhD in Folklore.

She was an awesome single mum, who went back to work hauling 40kg boxes of raw fish only 3 weeks after a hysterectomy because she needed to support her children.

And yet when I think of her, I hear her laugh, and her words, “We can do that!”. She is a fearless, fun, can do person – my mum!

  9. I inspire myself, I'm fun and scared of nothing. When I see my kid's smile and say they love there lives then I know I'm on the right track as a single parent.

  10. What a gorgeous bag! I love it! It's exactly something i would wear! And coincidentally I was looking for something just like it today 🙂 A fun, fearless woman that inspires me is Stephanie Nielson from the nienie dialogues blog, she and her husband had a near fatal plane crash leaving her body about 80% burnt. She had a blog before the accident, and continues to have one after, journaling her recovery, life, and beautiful family. She is just happy to be alive and enjoying every sweet moment with her children, husband, family and friends. Seeing her recovery, going through the pains and healing, and her pushing forward inspires me all the time.

    Take care,

    Kim

  11. Too easy for me to answer. My mum is the most fun, fearless woman I know! She has been through so much and always comes out the other side.

  12. A working mother inspires me.

Whether at home with kids or in the workforce. We all struggle with the same stuff and its somewhat comforting to know we have the same thoughts and feelings.

  13. Louise from Table Tonic inspires me every day when I read her blog to try to emulate her business success, amazing style and managing to fit wife, mum, business owner and woman into life.

  14. Judge Judy is a fun, fearless female that inspires me. (Don't laugh). I love her tenacity, confidence, intelligence and strength and admire her greatly!
(sorry – deleted my previous comment due to a spelling mistake).

  15. My crazy pommy friend Val at 65 still grooming dogs, everyone nags her to retire but she says she is having too much fun and besides it keeps her young at heart, fit and active.

She taught me dog grooming and if you did not have any sense of humour before you start you sure learn quick.

I's all fun and games with Val never a dull moment.

  16. Oh this one is easy for me- Frida Kahlo. What a progressive, fierce, passionate, talented woman who knew no boundaries. Not from society, religion, culture or gender- she just rocked the art world how she rocked it. easy, right?

also, your blog is looking oooooh so summery and fruity!

    xo em

  17. Jessica Watson for her courage to sail around the world even when most of Australia thought it was foolish! How more fun and fearless can you get?

  18. My mum would have to be the most fun, fearless and inspiring woman i know. She single parented 3 children – she was 22 and had a 3yo, 1 yo (me) and a newborn on her own! I dont know how she did it! Life has never been easy for her but she never feels sorry for herself. At the age of 45 she found out she had MS. She rarely complains and is so upbeat and positive. A true role model.
Oh and the bag is gorgeous!

    My email is shelley69@hotmail.com

  19. My Mum, easily. She is this amazing, unique, flawed, funny, generous women. And before I knew what I wanted for myself, I knew I wanted to be something like her. And these days, I'm proud to say, I am.

What a beautiful bag! So bright and fun. I'll be finding out more about this range. For sure.

  20. My inspiring FFF is my Grandmother, she has had so many challenges throughout her 85+ years and still manages to look on the bright side of life!

  21. My daughter Miss 5 is one of the most fun, fearless females i know. Ok so she is only little and hasn't really done much that others would look at and think wow but she is my inspiration in daily life.
She is one of 4 children but my only girl. She inspires me to be more playful, more energetic, more alive each day. To remember to stop and enjoy the little things in life because even a simple flower has beauty and complexity if you only stop to look.
She may not be up there with some great female leaders but she has the potential to be anyone and anything she chooses to be and i am blessed and proud to be her mum.

  22. There are so many, but a fun, fearless female I love to watch (when I get the chance!) is Chrissy Swan. She seems to have such fun and she stands up for her opinions. Gorgeous bags, I'm off to vote for Belle!

  23. What a gorgeous, fun looking bag.

Fearless and fun – that would be one of my good friends. She is up for anything and is incredibiily fun to be in company with. Definitely the life of the party.

  24. Wow, just taking the time to think about this has made me take stock of my past and present. Many women have inspired me over the years and at different stages of my life. I am now 41 and have a 6yo son, 5yo daughter and have a 3.5 month old son. My gorgeous daughter inspires me daily to be a good role model and I hopefully inspire her in return. only time will tell and what a ride it will be! xxx

  25. What a gorgeous handbag and good luck to Belle in the awards. Her designs are fabulous for sure.

My FFF is Jodie Fox from Shoes of Prey. Ever since I discovered her company I have just been in awe of the innovation and fab ideas coming from there. She is amazing. x

  26. My fun & fearless female inspiration is my sister, Carole. She has drive, enthusiasm and persistence and together we always manage to have a good laugh at whatever is thrown at us.

  27. My Mum – she suffers from Immuno Lupus, when she is well she babysits her grandkids as much as she can – but she doesn't like having just one of them – she then rings and invites ALL of them over! The kids have a day of tea parties, nutella sandwiches, outdoor bubble baths and classical music. She is def inspiring, fun and fearless.

  28. My six year old daughter Ella- Jewel. From the moment she was born she has jumped into life with a sparkle in her eye. She wants to experience everthing she can, seeing it life with wonder and no fear. Everyday she grabs her bag, fills it with six year old treasures, promptly hands me my own bag and says ” what are we doing today” – off we go, because there's a day to be lived. Inspiring.

  29. A fun, fearless female who inspires me is my daughter <3
She is the light of my life, and watching her learn every day is the most inspiring thing I've ever experienced! I'm inspired to be a better person, better mum, enjoy life more, make better decisions and have the most fun! She is almost one year old, and there is nothing more amazing than watching her grow and her personality develop! And I think we can all agree that there is nothing more fearless than a one year old!!

  30. Michelle Bridges… I found her 12wbt program at the start of the year and with her help I have transformed my life and continues to challenge me and help me face my fears… I love where I am at now… mentally and physically… THANKS MICHELLE!

  31. I would have to say Pink because she has never been afraid to speak her mind which is something that I often have trouble doing.

  32. After recognising this bag pictured as the beautiful Iris, I think I'd like to nominate the super-brainy and truly inspiring Iris Murdoch as a fun and fearless female.
Glittering career as author, philosopher and professor? √
Steamy love affair with student 20 years younger than she? √
When faced a debilitating disease, dealt with it with dignity and grace? √
Plus, who couldn't resist someone who one said “One of the secrets of a happy life is continous small treats” – and this gorgeous bag is certainly one of those!

  33. I woud have to say the person that inspires me and I see as a FUN FEARLESS FEMALE is none other than my younger cousin Lana.

She is only 2 years younger than me but I look up to her..

In just one year she lost her mum to breast cancer, her baby had to have a liver transplant at 9months old and while she was in hospital with this baby having the transplant her 2 1/2 year old daughter staying with family was KILLED in a house fire.
She then also had a miscarriage!

Then only this year they have lost her husbands father to cancer and found out her husbands brother who is only 27 is dying of cancer and its incurrable..

She still smiles each day and does not dwell on whats happened in her life… SHE IS AMAZING!

Oh and did I say she is also a mum of 4 (5 including her angel lost in the fire)..

  34. Oprah inspires me. A true rags to riches story. I love how she doesn't give up. She makes her own rules and sticks to them. I'm a little jealous because I wish I could turn my life around like that.

  35. Liz Byrski. She's a writer from Perth. I love her books. She writes about women and friendships and about ageing. Basically that life doesn't stop because you've hit the big five oh. Good to know twenty-ish years away from it! I love that her stories are set in Perth. Check out “Belly dancing for beginners” if you haven't already. My book club and I are going to a talk in august, so I may just get to meet her. That's inspiring!

  36. I would have to say my beautiful daughter Tara. Her zest for life and learning inspires me to be a better mother and person. She tells me my hair is “very pretty done like that” when it is wild in the morning. And she always has a smile on her face, which always puts a smile on my face 🙂

  37. My friend Karen is fearless and truly inspirational. She's travelled to Thailand, the Gold Coast and Hong Kong with two children. Not many women would do that on their own.

  38. Only one…I have so many and many are women who I haven't met in real life, they are bloggers. Seriously they are so fun, they are fearless, often laying bear their sole to the world and their passion and writing is inspiring, I inspire to be able to write like them and as often as them.
