Win a $100 Virtu or TS14+ voucher

I must have been living in the dark ages, but for a long time I didn’t know plus-size clothing existed. I had no idea. So once I discovered it did, I was in heaven. I loved being able to buy clothes I loved, that fitted {instead of shopping in normal stores and being constantly disheartened}.

Virtu and TS14+ are two Australian online {and real life} stores that cater to the curvy woman. Recently they sent me over two $100 gift cards to share with you lovely ladies {one for Virtu and one for TS14+}. So today, I’m giving them away.

Visit the TS14+ store here.

To win all you have to do is leave a comment below answering the following question: Would you like to win the voucher from Virtu or TS14+? And why?

  1. Hi there!
After having a baby in March 2011 my body is different. Good different, but I'm a different shape to pre-baby. My wardrobe is somewhat lacking in clothes that aren't jeans are fitted tops and I'd love the chance to get some new stylish clothes!

  2. Oooh, I would LOVE to win a voucher. Seriously, I would be jumping around like a lunatic. I actually hadn't discovered all these wonderful plus size clothing sites until I recently read your post about meeting the fabulous plus size model. I have been a bigger girl for about 6 years and have never bought anything that fits me properly in all that time. I would love to go pick up the kids from school wearing something fabulous just once – just to have that kick butt feeling of “I look fantastic!” Clothes might not make the person, but they sure do make you feel amazing.

  3. Hi! I would love and appreciate a voucher as after two baby boys, born nearly 13 months apart, I have piled on the kilos! I am dedicated to losing them but I am proud of my children and therefore I can't a hate body that carried them. I am, however lacking confidence and it shows in what I wear, mainly maternity clothes still! My poor husband would appreciate it more as it would save the big argument of him paying me a compliment and I snap “as if” at him as I feel so daggy in my current horrible outdated wardrobe! I used to be so funky and fun with my choices I'd love the opportunity to explore that without worrying “if these jeans will give me muffin top”.

  4. In the last 6 months, thanks to exploding ovaries (PCOS) and antidepressants that it turns out I didn't need, I have gained the weight of a small person that is rather adamant about staying around.

So I have nothing to wear and a huge conference coming up… *freaks out a little bit* I NEED to feel pretty despite my extra padding.

  5. I would LOVE the Voucher from Virtu, as my winter wardrobe is NON-exixtent & I can see the Monique Maxi Dress as a Fantastic Staple item to start it off:)

  6. Of course I'd love to win either gift card. As a heavy duty cutie it is imperative that I remain in the now when it comes to fashion.

  7. Hey, great web shops, thanks for sharing! They both look good, but if I had to choose only one, I guess I would go for TS14 because I noticed there are some cool shoes available.

    Cheers,
    Anne

  8. I would love to win a voucher to Virtu as after having my baby I have NOTHING that fits me, I have lost 9kg since having our little girl and I have a pair of jeans, 4 tops, 1 cardigan, 1 dress and 1 pairs of trackies that semi fit and look okay on me.

I'm in massive need of some funky new clothes but I just don't have the money

  9. gosh that would be so lovely,i would choose Virtu ….i havent bought new gear cos i am downsizing myself,so to get me on that journey something swish would be bliss !

  10. Virtu is AWESOME! Their sizing is perfect, spot on. Buying online can sometimes be fraught with “will it fit” fears but I have never had a problem with Virtu.

    LOVE!

So yes, I would be very interested in winning this!

  11. I MASSIVELY butt-cracked out of my favourite jeans yesterday 🙁
I was playing in the park with the sutest doggie ever, bended over to pick up pinecone and… CRACK! Wasn't to happy about the fact that my hiney couldn't resist showing herself!

Came up with the idea to tie my jacket around my butt,
but that looked even more silly because it was pretty cold outside!
Everyone had their winterjackets and scarfs on and there i was; a crazy lady with a thin longsleeve on.
don't even wanna know what the people were thinking!

Anyway… to make a long story short; i could ude some new jeans, to cover up my can'tresistshowingmyself-hiney!

    Have a nice day!
Gonna shoot 3. My neighbourhood #machphotoaday in a few minutes.
    Love,,

  12. Virtu is great. I'm wearing one of their tee's right now 🙂

I've been holding off buying new clothes because I'm on the 12WBT program and since Jan 1st, I've lost 7kgs. So my older, bigger clothes are finally too loose.

I'd love to buy some new clothes in a few weeks when I finish the program. Something in a smaller size too 🙂

  13. I think half my wardrobe is TS, and the other half is Virtu. I love that their clothes have colour and fabulous style. Living in Geelong I love to layer, which is perfect as TS is all about layering.

  14. So those boots in TS14 made me drool. I have been after a great pair of boots for years but alas with calves the size (or larger)of a models thighs I have not found one pair I like. This winter those boots will be mine. Of course a $100 voucher would help me out immensely and mean my husband doesn't have to work loads of overtime to clad my legs. Thanks for the opportunity to win. xxx

  15. I would like to win the TS14 voucher. After a really difficult 2011, I am moving back home to Australia after 14 years away. My sister Sam is helping me with this move, which is amazing considering her own busy life (job, husband, house, dogs and my gorgeous niece Vic.). I would like a way to say thank you, and being unemployed, a gift voucher for lovely clothes for her would be just the ticket. I chose TS14 as they have the in-house stylists – Sam does so much for everyone else, she doesn't always get the chance to do something for herself, and I would like for someone to have the time to walk her through their collection and take care of her.

  16. I lost 20-25kg last year and have another 15-20kg to go. As a result I'm not buying myself any new clothes until I get to my goal weight. Fortunately I have a few things of varying sizes – thanks to years of yo-yo weight loss and gain; but they're not enough.

I'm tired of wearing the same bloody things to work ALL OF THE TIME.

A couple of new things would totally help keep me feeling okay until I get to where I need to be!

    Deb

  17. I have a TS 14+ store here in Coffs and I saw a great outfit in the window the other day, which I would love to wear to a funtion soon…but money is tight, with the voucher I could afford it and feel fab 🙂

  18. I'd love to win one of these gift cards to spoil my best friend who just had a baby. She's an amazing first time mum who could use a treat! I love her so much and would love to show her some appreciation for everything she still does for me despite all the changes in her life!

  19. I would love to win the Virtu voucher- love their clothes and whenever I wear their clothes I get the best compliments- makes me feel amazing 🙂 xx

  20. I've put on some weight this year & desperately need some new clothes that will fit properly & not look like I've tried to squash myself into them! Thanks for giving us the chance to win.

  21. The Virtu-Shop offers more business cloth. Its so difficult to find comfortable but serious looking business cloth. And there I see some of them, I guess they have a good quality too?!

  22. for the first time in years, i'm actually starting to love my body, after years spent hating it [and what it fails at] and in doing so am exercising and eating a lot cleaner. i have a long way to go on this weight loss journey but i'm starting to want to dress my body in a way i feel proud of it rather than in baggy clothes in an effort to hide it.

unfortunately, i do not have any clothes that fit that criteria!! and considering we are on a no spend 6 months, you can see the pickle i find myself in! 🙂

  23. I would love to win one of these vouchers. I've only recently discovered plus-size FASHION – as opposed to just plus-sized clothes! Virtu has become one of my go-to places as I rebuild my wardrobe. So far, I've been sticking to the sale page but I'm in love with some of the new Autumn gear.

    (hbryen@gmail.com)

  24. I would love to win a Virtu voucher! I have already a few TS14+ items in my wardrobe, but have never seen Virtu til this post. After checking them out I would love to buy a couple of nice pieces… But we've recently become a one income / two kid family, so clothes shopping is a luxury right now.

  25. I would love to win one of these vouchers as I'm in desperate need of some quality and gorgeous looking clothes that will actually fit my body shape! My work wardrobe needs some lovin' in particular! xx

  26. As a plus size mumma on a journey to become a normal size mumma, I need the Virtu voucher – replacing all my clothes is exxy!! Help me look fab in clothes that fit, are hot and from a brand I've never heard of before – how is that possible??

  27. Would absolutely love a Virtu voucher….i receive their catalogue in the mail and love looking at their fantastic range of clothing for us “curvy” girls- unfortunately i havent been able to afford to buy anything as yet so winning the voucher would mean i could actually buy some new clothing that i would make me feel confident and sexy!!!!

  28. They are both full of gorgeous things that would look great on me; but I'm in the market for a lovely dress to suit my curves, now that I am learning to love my larger body, so I will go with Virtu.
    xx

  29. I'd really love to win. If I win, I will give the voucher for my mom as a birthday surprise because she will celebrate her birthday soon. She's a little bit curvy, and I know when she was a young lady, she really love to shopping. But know, she just organize a social organization and not shopping anymore.

I guess she will really happy to receive this. I love my mom so much! <3

  30. I would love to win a Virtu voucher so I could order the Monique Maxi Dress and Interconnected necklace on page 21 – love it 🙂

  31. oh they are both gorgeous but I'd love to win a Virtu voucher – so I can buy something other then my staples of jeans and tees

I'm also doing the 12wbt so it would be lovely to celebrate with a new outfit or two in a smaller size 🙂

  32. I was directed to your site as my daughter follows you and does your photo a day. She could really use the gift card as she is job hunting and really needs the wardrobe help. After surgery she lost her previous job and with the economy is having a difficuly time finding another. Weight gain from this didn't help. This would be an amazing lift for her! barbacs1@gmail.com

  33. I've recently had triplets and my plus sized Mum comes around most days and helps me with them. I'd love to win this to pass onto her to say thank you. Because you can't do triplets on your own…

  34. Besides the clothes being adorable and actually cute, I want to win the voucher because I need new clothes. And these are stylish, it's hard to find stylish plus size clothes. I need business clothes too, hopefully when I graduate in May I'll have a professional job.

  35. A TS14+ voucher which I could gift to my mum would be amazing….she's having a tough time and loves the clothes and accessories at Taking Shape…She does so much for others that I wish she will get to do something fun for herself!!!

  36. I love both of them can't believe I have to choose one…. but I would choose Virtu
    Thanks,
    Kirsty

  37. I would love to win a voucher because last year I lost some weight and still have nappy pins on my jeans and work pants to inch in the waist. It's not ideal and I would just love to be able to go out and buy something new. I would choose the Virtue.
    Thanks,
    Kirsty

  38. omg – they have such cute stuff! i would love to win the Virtu one – i am definitely a curvy girl who has trouble finding things that fit well without pinching or binding in one place or another. thanks for sharing 🙂

  39. Wow I never heard about Vitu or ts14 before! Would love to try something on that didn't make me feel guilty for being who I am.
After going from a size 10, to being married, and having five sons I dread shopping days. My legs, my big butt and my lovely saggy boobs (thanks for breastfeeding!) are not something that I like to look at in dressing room mirrors. Maybe that is why my wardrobe looks really sad – t-shrts and stretchy jeans and a few dresses are about it.

    Cheers
    Lisa

  40. Seems like my budget extends to Kmart and Target. And they just don't fit right, it's like they take something designed for a size 8, and then add a few inches to the pattern. Not cool!! If it wasn't for some avid thrifting, and a sewing gene, I'd be walking around looking like a misshapen blob, crossed with a strung up pork roast. PS. I'm loving #marchphotoaday didn't get my act together for the other two, but I'm having so much fun!!

  41. Oh this would be so awesome to win!! I never buy myself new clothes. It's that go without so that those you love can have thing… And I get so frustrated when I go shopping about things never fitting right and then I start to feel fat, and then I just leave with nothing because I'm so unhappy. Clothes that fit would be AMAZING!!

  42. I am sick of 'plus size' clothes being potato sacks with a little bit of color or stripes. For too long, women who are bigger have been forced to compromise on their sense of fashion because nothing is even remotely attractive to wear. And when there is something that is utterly gorgeous and flattering and lovely, it costs eighty dollars for a top, where anything in a smaller size costs less.

I have saved up and bought many pieces from Virtu. They are akin to my sense of style and fashion. I am trying to dress myself, for work and for play, in a tiny little budget because my partner is out of work. I am sick of compromising! I would love to win the Virtu voucher, so I can feel like me again! And feel somewhat like a real woman without feeling the ten tonne weight of guilt which comes with spending a little bit of money.

You are an utterly gorgeous women, and thank you for running this giveaway! Such a little gift can give someone a world of happiness!

  43. Oh my! i would love the voucher from Virtu. I've seen their clothes on sooo many beautiful bloggers and i get jealous. But as I am currently an unemployed student I haven't been able to shop for clothes in aaaages! I would love a nice little spending spree with Virtu to update my wardrobe for autumn!

  44. I would LOVE a voucher from Virtu! I have been struggling to find clothes that fit my, not so small after baby body, and it is a major struggle. All their clothes looked beautiful!

  45. 3 babies in 3 years.. just saying!! I would love to get out of my maternity clothes!!!
Thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful prize!

  46. Oh! Pick me, pick me – pleeeeeeaaaase!!!! 🙂 I love both Virtu and TS14+ – being a buxom lass, they are my fave places to shop (when budget permits). Their clothing is so much more stylish and flattering than the horrible printed sack-like clothing in other stores, I LOVE it! Thanks for the opportunity to enter 🙂

  47. I'd love a voucher for Virtu. I was so impressed with there clothes that I really want to buy some more. I'm now off to check out TS14+ as I've never heard of them before.

  48. Yes please! I've finally shifted some weight and need some new threads. I'm still a plus size and these clothes are rockin!

  49. I would love, love, love a shopping trip to Virtu! After going from a physical job to a sitting down one, and becoming a mama, I have found an extra 20kgs that need covering. I'll definitely be shopping there now that you've opened my eyes to their loveliness…..thank you!

  50. I would love to win the TS14+ & Virtu vouchers because I have a gorgeous friend who has had some bad luck this year & is feeling a little down. I would pass the vouchers along to her so she can treat herself to a new outfit. As everyone knows; wearing something a little bit special can brighten your day!

  51. They both look awesome. If I had to choose it would be TS14+. I hate trying to find clothes! These clothes look hip and super cute! 😀

  52. Wow sitting here in my hospital room in a hospital gown designed for barbie dolls feeling down two hours away fr my daughters who are 11 and 10 This would really lift my spirits virtu would be my choice if I was lucky

  53. I'd LOVE to win a Virtu voucher, I have the cardigan pictured on my winter wardrobe wishlist. Looks cute and comfy and very chic'.
    Fingers and toes crossed xx

  54. *a typo missed out the important info!*
Being post-babies, my body shape has naturally changed. I'm tall, so have always had difficulty finding clothes that fit length-wise properly – no ankle-freezers please! Now I'm in that awkward phase of needing new non-maternity clothes for the next season as it's the first time in 3 years I'm not pregnant or breastfeeding (we're on the road to weaning). But as a stay-at-home-mum, I certainly don't have the money to splash out on a whole new wardrobe! So yes, I would LOVE to win the Virtu voucher. Why Virtu? Because the casual style is more me, that's all!

  55. I would be grateful for either voucher. I have had a rough coupe of years with custody issues that as you can imagine is very expensive and when ever there was a few dollars spare I want to spend it on my daughter. therefore I have not had the money to buy for myself so winning either voucher would be fantastic. This would be great as I have a wedding in 2 weeks and would love a new top.

    Thanks
    Janine

  56. Realising my true size..
Some free plus-size clothing would be fab!
Sick of my tight size 12 clothing,
This voucher Id love to nab!

  57. I would love to win a voucher for myself. There is a TS14+ near me so I would choose that if I to choose. I have no budget for clothes. I am wearing t shirts that are years old. I really need some new basics in my wardrobe!

  58. I have just found Virtue, and i love it.. Having just had baby number 4 i have had enough of being “Fat” so want to try and loose weight. I love the virtue clothes becuase they are great for a stay at home mum, who wants to look good as well as being comfy! and i would love to go shoping after i hit my first (of many) goals of looseing 10kg!
    jodie_25@bigpond.com

  59. I would love to win a voucher from Virtu or TS as I need to update my wardrobe to cater for my growing bump (17 weeks and 5 days pregnant today!) and breast feeding. (ljd1@bay.net.au)

  60. I would <3 to win a voucher! because it's been so hard to find cool, flattering and current fashionware for bigger girls! I seriously (SERIOUSLY!) need to bring my wardrobe out of the "daggy" stage!! and thank you 🙂 for the chance!

  61. On second thoughts, having just read Janine's post (March 4, 2012 02.48PM) I'd like to make my vote to Janine! Sometimes a kind gesture goes a LOT further than you think 🙂 I hope things look up for you Janine! here's to 2012 being a wonderful year for you xo

  62. I would LOVE to win! I have such a hard time finding clothes that flatter me, I have long admired things from these shores, but at the moment there is no money in the budget for new clothes.

  63. As a plus sized Mum living in Singapore I am totally reliant on the Internet to buy clothes that fit. My last big purchase was from TS14 but I think I definitely would love to try Virtu this time around. So envious of people who can shop on these stores in real life. I would be like a kid in a candy store.

  64. I would love to win so that I can gift the voucher (if this is possible) to my best friend who needs a new outfit for a wedding she is going to attend. She really deserves it as had a rough run with her health.

  65. Winning either of these vouchers would be GOLD!!! Thankfully TS & Virtu have made it possible for us fabulous fat ladies to ditch beiung seen in those terrible elastic waisted pants, a plain colour T with a patterned shirt over the top. Sadly that used to be all the “fashion” choices we had!
TS & Virtu are the Best … pick me, please pick me 😉

  66. Thank you so much for offering this fabulous prize! I would love a voucher to virtu as I live in one pair of trackies and a pair of leggings and would love to wear something nice one night so hubby can take me out to dinner. I am too embarrassed to be seen outside the house and only go to see family every couple of weeks as I have nothing to wear.

  68. Thank you so much for offering this fabulous prize! I am too embarrassed to be seen outside the house and only go to see family every couple of weeks as I have nothing to wear.

  69. I would love to win the Virtu gift card! You wouldn't believe the time I have had trying to find a plus sized dress that isn't matronly or super short. Especially this past week, I got incredibly discouraged. I would love to win this, as there's a dress I know I immediately want! Thanks!

  70. Both look fabulous but I would really love to start dressing my age, not years older like I do now! After 3 babies I feel less than fantastic so Virtu would make my day AND my wardrobe 🙂

  71. i have heard of TS
    thats its the very best
never owned or worn this label
but i so would love to be able .

  72. I was always a 'solid' girl. Even when a size 10-12, I had a very large chest and had to find clothes with a generous fit. When I had my first child, I weighed 60 kilos, and wasn't fat. Everyone told me I'd lose a bra size, and I was SOOO excited, but instead, I gained 2 bra sizes, from a 12D to a 14 F, and never went down, even though I walked out of hospital the same weight as when I became pregnant… Being a stay-at home Mum, I gained 10 kilos, but lost 17 kilos for my wedding two years later. Two miss-carriages and a lot of self pitying over-eating later, and I had gained all of that back and more. Then, three more babies in 3 1/2 years(I was in my late thirties, and had to hurry!)changed my body shape for good. I'd always had a small waist-line, but I've lost that now, and my chest grew with each baby!(a 14 H-I cup!) Financially, I just can't justify nice clothes that would make me feel better about my shape, even though my kids are walking 'Pumpkin Patch' advertisements! I would LOVE to win a voucher to TS14+.

  73. Love them and their look very much. While I'm not as familiar with Virtu, I discovered TS14 back in 2006 when a couple of girlfriends and I had a Mommy Getaway Down Under. We spent an unholy amount of time in the store. I swear I think we may have tried on everything there. I ended up with a gorgeous calf length sweater (among other things)that I still wear. Loved it so much that several months later I called and had the most helpful person on the phone who found me the same sweater in one of the other colors and helped me out with getting it shipped to Texas from one of the Melbourne stores. And always need to update my look…it seems I'm much slower these days shopping for myself…I blame the kids. 😉

  74. I love both brands. I am a fatty, fat fat who has put on a ridiculous amount of weight over 2011, going from a size 18 to 24. I am refusing to buy clothes in this size because don't want to stay here- despite not doing anything about it. M & m anyone? Would love to buy something nice – at this size – so while I walk around with a bag over my head figuring what to do at least I would look a bit better! Thank you for the chance 🙂 meleatworld@yahoo.com.au

  75. Something that I must confess…
my current wardrobe is such a mess.
Sexy look in clothes that fit needed,
    Virtu makeover required – speedy!!!.

  76. The size you wear matters not, it's choosing the right style, colour and pattern to suit your body. The girls at TS14+ are very skilled at helping you with styling, accessorising and looking (read 'feeling') good.

  77. I would love to win either vouchers! I'm a 24 year old new mom looking to re-vamp my wardrobe with some great styles. I'm still looking to find “my style” and so many things at both of these stores are right up my alley! I'm curvy, and I find it difficult to really find the clothes that I WANT to wear, especially locally so this would be an awesome birthday treat for myself (early birthday treat – as my birthday is March 21)!

  78. Why would I like to win??
Because my baby is almost 2 and my go to pair of pants are maternity pants! ugh! There, I finally said it, well typed it…

    SUCKS – ugh!
