Where do you want to travel to next?

I only have a quick moment to blog this morning. For those that don’t know I’m on the Problogger Queensland trip that I was lucky enough to win along with 9 other bloggers. We’re exploring the best of The Great Barrier reef region and learning new blogging tricks along the way. I’ll share more details when I get more time, but just wanted to say that this is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. If you can, put it on your life to-do list. I plan on bringing Hubby and Lacey back one day.

Today we’re packing up and moving on to Port Douglas and checking out the rainforest, where we’ll hold another blogging workshop. So that means I have to try and jam pack everything back into my bags. Eeek. And then we’re on our way in half an hour. I better go!

Where do you want to travel to next? Do you always have something planned? Or has it been a while between holidays?

P.S. I’ve been bombarding Instagram with photos from our adventures. You can see them here, if that’s your sorta thing.

  1. I'm going to Europe in two weeks. London, France, Monaco, Italy, Spain, Greece. It's my first real holiday. I'm considering moving to London at the end of next year so that will be my gateway to the rest of the world!

  2. Port Douglas is one of my all-time favourite places. One day (when I win lotto) I'm going to have a holiday home there. I love how the tropical lush mountains come right down to the sea. Ahhh I can almost imagine myself there now.

There are so many places I want to travel. I've spent the past 10 years exploring Australia, I think it's time to venture further afield.

    Enjoy your trip!!

  3. I'd love to take my wife to Europe, particularly France. It's been a long time since our last overseas trip (7 years) and after losing our house due to a failed business, I don't see the trip happening for a long time.

  4. Rainforest?! So cool!

I have so many places, but I would really love to go to Southeast Asia. I've been to Thailand and LOVED it, and I'd love to go to Vietnam and Laos next.

Or Sweden and Denmark and Iceland and the Netherlands.

    Or Argentina and Uruguay.

Or a girls' trip to Hawaii.

Ugh. Too many places, too little money/time.

  5. We are off to the south island of NZ for two weeks in August. Next year we plan a trip to USA and Canada to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary which is this year !

Enjoy the GBR – it is beautiful up there. We had a family holiday up there a few years ago and all thoroughly enjoyed it even though we aren't really water people !!

Take care and travel safely !

  6. My next dream trip is actually to Sydney, Australia! Two friends of mine moved there for work and will be there the next two years, so I figure now's the time to go! I'm planning on going next February or March. I think we'll be spending some time in New Zealand too. I can't wait!

  7. Actually, I've always wanted to travel to Australia. I've been to New York and California last summer and it was absolutely gorgeous, so now I would love to see what' Australia is like. But I'm afraid, it won't be realistic during the next years with a little baby on board. Because of this, I think our next travel destinations will be places like Holland, Sweden, Scotland, Denmark and Norway. Although just the thought of California makes my heart beat faster and really miss its weather and the shores, the ocean, the people…ok, I'm really into California, I would love to go there again.

  8. Oh I am always thinking about where I would love to go! Port Douglas is breathtaking! Planning a sunshine coast trip with the family in October and would LOVE to take the kids to Sicily in the next couple of years (when I can come to terms with spending soooooo much time in a Confined space with my little one) cheers, Mez

  9. Hmmm….I love to travel so that's a hard question. I think I'm due for a beach vacation with my hubby! But my heart is tugged by our wedding location in Montana….it's our first anniversary on the 25th!

  10. I travel a lot, both long trips and day trips, as it's part of my business, part of our daughter's homeschooling (as its part of the curriculum to do excursions with her) and it's super fun! I love seeing new places and doing new things! I love photographing and blogging it too! Or Facebooking, instagramming etc etc…I'm planning yet another big road trip with my family! It has been awhile since a REAL holiday though and I'm hoping to do one in the next 2-3 months! I am hanging to get to the Hunter again! 🙂 My son has Phuket booked and leaves soon with his lovely girlfriend for her 21st! Very exciting! It's been awhile since I was overseas, but I am really keen to see more of Oz first! We have such a beautiful country!

  11. I have set myself the challenge to pay off my credit cards then save the cash to go to Surf Haven Bali for a week of yoga, surfing and healty lifestyle. Nearly paid the credit cards off and then just need to save the cash. A great motivation with an awesome reward at the end.

  12. Lucky you. What a fantastic trip. I'm looking forward to our annual Florida gulf coast vacation – one of our very favourite places that we've been going to for 5 years now. I'd love to visit Costa Rica one day soon.

  13. All being well we will be going to Africa and Israel in December this year and then Israel and Europe in May/June next year. I hope all our plans come to fruition as I want to see Europe before we get on the baby train! Enjoy your stay in QLD! x

  14. Being a travel agent I have been lucky to travel a fair bit. Since having kids, we have had one big trip to Hawaii last year. We have a short getaway booked to the NSW south coast later in the year, but I am always looking ahead to the next one. I think the next big one will be in a few years time and probably a few weeks driving around Tassie. After that I want to take the kids to Disneyland, then Europe, then Africa… this list goes on and on and on!!!!

  15. I'm from Melbourne and i always love visiting Perth, especially in Winter! I'm headed over there in 2.5 weeks, I can't wait to relax and hang out in Fremantle too.

After that I am heading to China for 4 months, it's a huge trip I have been planning all year! there are so many exciting and interesting places that i have on my to-do list while I'm there.

  16. Hawaii…I have been there 4 times already, visiting a different island each time – Maui, Oahu and Lanai. Next stop…Kauai. There's something about Hawaii that keeps me coming back every year – there are always new places to explore.

Enjoy your trip…I am truly loving your pictures on instagram.

  17. Im going on a cruise in September around the tropical islands cocktail in one hand my boyfriend by my side. I cant wait for some warm relaxing time together. We have been working and renovating our butts off and really need a break. The great thing about cruises is once you get on and unpack there are no airports, taxis, baggage to deal with you just sit back and relax 🙂

  18. Im off to Port Douglas in August. Me and my husband lived there for 4 years and were married at St Mary's by the Sea ( the little white church) and our 1st child was born here as well. Such a special and beautiful place. Looking forward to going back as we havent been back since we left nearly 5 years ago and we are going back with no kids :(….. haha time to relax

  19. We got back from Spain & France about a month ago and in 2 weeks we'll be leaving Gabon for good stopping in Scotland for a week and then moving to Norway. I'm heading home to Canada for a couple of weeks at the end of July and then we have a long weekend in Belgium planned for the end of August.
These days, we always have something in the works!

  20. Next trip in July 3 weeks in Corsica ( isle in the south of France)… And in April 2013 NYC with the kids… It'll be their first trip by plane…(we live in the north of France)… In my dream i would like to go where you are right know and a lot of place in the earth. My daughter's dream is Bora Bora…. Need to win to the lottery!

  21. Ah, FNQ – what fun! We were there 3 years ago with a tiny baby boy and a 2 year old, it was fun! Next time the kids will be bigger and I hope that means even more fun!!
We are off to London, Montrose in Scotland and China at the very end of the month, for a month! School holidays and a bit more! This time I think our daughter will be ready for the mindflip that is China, last time she was there she was a tiny baby too! England is a frequent destination – half the family are there!

  22. I just got back from the Dominican Republic last week and I'm already itching to go on another vacation. It's funny because everytime we're on vacation, my husband and I find ourselves talking about the next place we want to go! We definitely live in the moment but we constantly want to travel! Next up hopefully…South Padre, TX!

  23. How cool! I'm a little behind on reading your blog so I didn't realize you were going on a blogging adventure trip. Sounds very exciting! Hopefully you learned lots that you can share with us about blogging and running a small business.

  24. I haven’t traveled in over a year. I’m planning on doing a cruise to the Caribbean next year with my entire family, something we’ve never had the opportunity to do. I’d love to also venture off to Europe in 2015 London, Rome, & Paris to be exact. A girl can dream right :/..
