Weekend Whimsy.

Guten Morgan. Is that how it’s spelt?

That was my attempt at good morning in German. Stick to my normal language? Okay.

How was your weekend? Mine was chilly. The sun came out to play, but the wind wanted to stay too. It was super chilly. Super dooper chilly.

Lacey turned fifteen months yesterday. That just seems insane. It’s such a nice age though… the time does fly by though. I know there are cuter stages ahead too but wouldn’t mind pressing pause on the now.

My high for the weekend was just spending time as a family. I got to clean the house. Fill it with fresh flowers. And was lucky enough to be treated to whales playing out in the ocean. They’re heading North to warmer waters, but stopped by to seemingly dance and play about.

My low was hanging my beautiful print on the wall, only to hear it crash to the ground moments later. Hubby thinks my little office area is cursed. First he ‘broke’ my desk, my big print smashed and now my little frame is in ruins. Is the Universe trying to tell me something? I’d prefer an email thanks. I already have decided on another frame and different print too. All will be okay.

What was your high, and your low for the weekend? I’d love to hear. xx

  1. My high was my nearly-16-month-old daughter learning to say her name! It was so exciting because she popped it into the song “Tell us what your name is, I wonder if you know? Your name is “XXXX”! Hello hello hello hello hello hello hello” completely unexpectedly. I didn't even know she knew which one of the many pet names we call her was her actual name!

My low was being unable to sleep on Saturday night, which led to being tired on Sunday and needing a nap.

I think Lacey has the same shoes as my little girl! Are they black Mary Jane Tip Toey Joeys? So cute!

  2. Chantelle, that photo is just beautiful. It made me smile instantly when I saw it.

High this weekend- my husband's 30th birthday party and finally having the front yard finished.

Low this weekend- Not really a low as such, but bub staying put and not making an appearance yesterday! I can't wait to meet this little one!

  3. Hi Chantelle,

My high was going to a Market and selling my baby cocoons for the first time and getting a really positive response from the public – was very self gratifying to create something that people thought was beautiful and worthwhile.

My low was being up till 5:30am on sunday morning before the markets to get all the last minute things done, then getting 40 minutes sleep then getting up and driving to start the market!!! So tired last night!!

  4. Dear chantelle. great pic! My little one turned 10 months on the 3rd, and it just freaked me out… Didn't I give birth to her about two weeks ago?! Added to that, she's had a major growth spurt in both the legs and the tooth dept, so she's starting to look like a little toddler. Just amazing how time flies, isn't it?

  5. Love that pic of Lacey!

High: Washing all Little Mezza's baby clothes in preparation for his arrival. Hubby looked so cute rolling tiny socks.

Low: bub is getting very uncomfortable and I still have 8 weeks to go.

  6. High: My dear hubby coming back from a week long man trip and getting to cuddle him again ( I run on cuddles)

Low: the very next day my dear hubby needing some time on his own after spending every minute for an entire week with people… and me feeling really lonely giving him his space that he desperately needed..
