Watermelon whip: The pink drink that really satisfies

Watermelon whip: The pink drink that really satisfies

On the day that I made this drink, Lacey had a little friend over. I remember when I was a kid, and had a friend over, that I was so excited to have company that I didn’t ever bother my Ma. We were out in the garden or in my bedroom playing Barbies or Cabbage Patch Kids. It was like the best thing EVER.

That’s how I remember it anyway. But Lacey and her little friend need my constant entertainment, and referee skills. They both want the same things. The EXACT same things at that very same moment. I think Lacey has been an only child for so long that she has a bit to learn.

So to break up the ‘tension’ I decided we’d whip up this pink drink for afternoon tea. Each girl got to help, and each girl got their own cup with a straw… and for a moment there was peace. Thank GOODNESS!

Watermelon whip: The pink drink that really satisfies

Ingredients

400g watermelon, cubed {skin removed}
100g tub strawberry frozen yoghurt
100g tub raspberry frozen yoghurt
1 tbsp honey
{mint, if you’re feeling fancy!}

Method

♥ Place all ingredients in your blender {or Thermomix} and blend until smooth. Place into cups and serve.

Now that the weather is warmer, I’m loving fresh juices and drinks. What’s your favourite combination?

  1. I love watermelon, frozen raspberries and lime! I drink half right away and then turn the other half into popsicles!

  2. we have been making the best drink this week, apples jucied in the blender with strawerries, mango and ice…. oh so good!

  3. Yum! Love a fresh juice on a hot summer day (plus its a great way to get fresh fruit into my little mans belly). I love orange, mango & pineapple combo, very refreshing!
