The weekend that was

On Friday afternoon I picked up my little munchkin from Kindy wearing this cute mask that she’d whipped up in art + craft time. She was understandably very proud.

Saturday the weather turned it on, big time. Perfect blue skies and sunny days for my little sister’s hen’s day.

En route to The Winery for a bit of part-ay.
Pretty chandelier as big as my house. Almost.

We didn’t plan to take Lacey to the lunch part of the celebration but when she asked us when we were getting dressed, “Are we going to a party?” We couldn’t let her down. She even wanted to wear high heels and make-up to fit in. She pretty much always does everything with us, so it made sense that she joined us for a bit of the day.

I wore layers and layers of arm candy.

Us towards the end of the day. Exhausted but happy.

I love the back streets of the Sydney CBD. There are things like bird cages, big donuts and stuff I haven’t yet explored.

As well as rows and rows and rows of graffiti.

We also had passes to Ivy, but 8 hours in I was exhausted so may have piked it at that point. I was wearing purple nail polish though. Not that it makes a difference.

The next morning we hit the back streets again to pick up Lil Sis who was in pretty good condition considering.

And I made this video for my Lil Sis as a memory-keeper. It’s probably pretty boring for those that didn’t attend the day, but each time I watch I cry tears of laughter. Enjoy. x

How was your weekend? What did you get up to?

  1. Lacey looks great. So great you took her along. I love her mask and her headband. What a funky girl.

I had a market stall at a fete, a 13th birthday, a 3rd birthday and then managed to burn pasta (!!!) which still stinks today given there is not a breeze in sight. I love sunny Sydney days though – it makes everything lovely (even burnt pasta).

  2. Arm candy is the best, it's the one thing I always do!

You are the most beautiful exhausted person I've ever seen.

The video was cute, it looked like a super-fun day! I bet she is so grateful xx
