It’s time to start putting up the Christmas tree and send out Christmas cards. The silly season is almost upon us.
I love Christmas. I’ve already started singing Christmas carols when I’m in the car or hanging out with Lacey. Our tree is up and my presents are wrapped. I’ve done 99% of my gift shopping. I’m well on the way.
Lacey loves the Christmas trees in the shopping centres already. I let her touch them and tell her gently, gently.
So there is always loads of food around and I am able to hold back mostly on indulging. I always get a bit too full on Christmas Day, and there is always a box of chocolates under the tree for me. Santa knows what I like.
What are you tips for surviving the silly season? Do you allow yourself to indulge at certain times? Or not at all?
Please share. xx
I aim for moderation, there are a few indulgences, Christmas pud and custard is one!
My goal this Christmas, food wise that is, is to have small tastes of many things. I am going to use a side dish to serve my main meals on, and i am going to sample sweets in small portions. Like a tablespoon’s worth.
I hope it works, i don’t want to have wasted all this good work to put back the kilos over the Christmas break!
Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Tracey
I am a Christmas-aholic, a traditionalist and whatever the total opposite of Grinch is. I’ve had the Christmas CD playing in the car since September (yes I know!!) but the tree went up today and we are loving every second of the preparations!!
Joy, love and peace to all (I think I may have inhaled some glitter and it’s gone to my brain….)
we went to the garden centre on the weekend and oliver loved the christmas decorations there.
we have 2 weeks with the in law’s, wine will be my saviour.
I am a cheesecake/pumpkin pie lover. I will allow myself that dessert, but only that dessert. I keep reminding myself that I’m saving for MY special dessert.
Your girl sounds so sweet. Sorry about the mid-night wake up calls!
