Sunshine & Smiles.

I

t’s Friday, which is one of my favourite days. Everyone has their eyes set on the weekend, super sharp suits are being left at the dry cleaners and casual Friday is happening in offices around town {I see people at the bus stops embracing it} and everyone is a little lighter, happier. I feel it, do you?

On this Friday, what’s added a little sunshine to your day? What’s made you smile?

Me? Apart from it being Friday there are a few things that are making me smile. I’ve been single parenting it this week whilst Hubby is competing at Nationals for Surf Boat racing, so that’s been tough going. Especially when at 3:40am yesterday Lacey missed her Dadda and wanted to see his photo on my phone, for TWO WHOLE HOURS. He {and his crew} kicked butt in their race yesterday and came first. I’m so proud, so I’m smiling about that.
Plus, Lil Sis is coming up for a sleepover, and she always makes me smile. And I have nothing much planned this weekend… which I’m excited about because the past few weekends have been jam packed.
What about you, my friend?

Head back here for a little point and shoot this afternoon. See you then.

  1. ooh I am first..ok well I am happy because I am off to Melbourne to see all my family. I havent been back since my nans funeral 2.5 years ago. It is a little bitter sweet because it is also the last place I spent time with my dad, one on one before he too passed away suddenly two weeks later. I am hoping to bring back some happy memories instead of sad. Glad to hear hubby kicked ass at the surf boats..crazy weather up here. Have a great weekend with your lil sis love me xo

  2. I have been up sense 3.40 am this morning!
Mr. Kypo was shooting a music video. Tried to sneak in. Mmm
Today is a great day. A smiley day!
Date night in the city with Mr. Kypo 🙂
    It has been long overdue.
    Xxx

  3. Big congrats to the other half!

This weekend I'm looking forward to meeting my friend's 1 week-old daughter! It's also going to be a time of organising and getting things done as I prepare for the appearance of my own first child in just under two months.

Just want to say I love your blog, it's such a calm and happy place 😉

  4. what made me smile today is that my boys still give me Hugs & Kisses in front of there friends:) & your blog always put a smile on my face…

    Have a lovely weekend XX

  5. well I had grand plans to get the hubby off the couch and into the garden but alas that has now gone out the window as he was hit my a car yesterday on his motorbike!

He's ok, badly bruised leg, nothing broken (after 7 HOURS at the hospital)

    very very very lucky.

so as much as the garden still looks like shit, I still have my hubby in one piece.

  6. Dear chantelle. Ohhh I've had a hectic week. I was single parenting and the Sproglette got sick. Two and a half days off daycare = two and a half days off work for me (though I was still trying to keep up from home, and popped into the office a few times).

    Ex-HAUS-ting 🙁

  7. My 3yo son is finally getting better after two weeks of illness, steroids and antibiotics, so that's made me smile. Just waiting for the 21mo and myself and their Daddy to follow now too!

Congrats to your hubby and his team!

  8. Seeing my cat, and getting in the car and seeing my husband had bought me a bottle of wine.

Work has been insane and not great for ages, this week no exception.

The wine was what I needed, and love that my husband thought of that.

And my cat is crazy cute and makes me happy 🙂

  9. Oh, I hear you about husbands being away, we had that a few weeks ago and very little sleep was had by me or Miss 2. It is amazing how these things impact upon their little brains. Wishing you a relaxing weekend.
