Stresses for Dresses (continued).

A girl is never at ease until she has her gown. And, finally, I have mine. I was going to go with a dress that I already had in my wardrobe for Miss L’s Christening. I was. But then it all got the better of me and I went shopping, online.

It’s always a risk shopping online. Will it suit me? More importantly, will it fit me? I don’t like getting out the tape measure at the best of times and right now I try to avoid any type of measuring of my body if possible. So it was a case of trying my luck.

I was worried about my legs being on show for the Christening. I know all the attention is going to be on Miss L, but my legs have emerged from Winter in a nice shade of ghostly white and could have possibly stolen the show. I stumbled across this dress on eBay and ‘clicked’ Buy It Now.

I won’t be wearing it with this sash belt. My dress came with a black belt, but I’ll be wearing it with my el cheapo tan belt and some flat shoes. It fits perfectly. When it’s on it looks far more casual than the picture.

We’re going barefoot bowling after the church so we’ll all kick of our shoes and have some fun.

I did try on Miss L’s dresses on her this morning and they’re way too big. I might have to get them taken up or something. Or I could just go shopping again, online.
