Goodbye 2008.
You were a great year. You made me work hard for everything, but it was all worth it.
In 2008, I:
Spent the last month with Hubby as just us on holidays
Was heavily pregnant, waddling around and back at work
Helped my family at work through a really hard time
Gave birth to my beautiful little girl
Survived those hard first 3 months of Lacey’s life, and she thrived through it too
Managed work/baby/life/breathing all at the same time
Turned 28 years old
Felt all warm and fuzzy as my Mum found a new home a few suburbs away
Survived extreme sleep deprivation
Organised and catered for Lacey’s Christening
Became overjoyed when my High School Best Mate got engaged
Started this blog
Celebrated Lacey’s first Christmas
Last night we watched the 9pm fireworks on TV and then went to bed. There was a big party down at the Beach so we were listening to that music while we were trying to get to sleep. It sounded like Kings of Leon were performing but it might have been someone doing covers. The fireworks at midnight were so loud it sounded like they were right in our backyard.
I think I’ll just make one resolution this year. To love myself a little more.
Happy NY to you, Shane and Lacey. Your resolution for 09 is excellent…we could all take that advice.
I thought the fireworks would wake my little bubba last night – but he slept straight through.
