She Wore Flowers In Her Hair.

W

hen my parents got married, my sister and I were the flowergirls. We wore our hair wispy, with baby’s breath throughout.

With Spring knocking on our doors {please DO come in Spring, you’re more than welcome} I’m dreaming on flowers in my hair {and for Lacey to have a hair growth spurt so I can adorn it with petals and such}.
I read in the paper yesterday that on average we change our hairstyles around 140 in our lifetimes. I’d agree. I’m constantly wanting to change things up.

  1. I have always loved this look – reminds me of my childhood too. A favourite pass time was making daisy chains and also making 'fairy crowns' out of the weeping willow in our garden.

I am in desperate need of a change as I have had pretty much same style for around 10 years! Last major change was a 'selfie' – A really bad attempt at a choppy, short Meg Ryan (90's) type do.. that wasnt quite the outcome!

  2. Hmm last hair change – the week after my birthday. I got my hair dyed the darkest I've ever been – dark brown and had a red streak put through it oh and I had a POB done (the hairstyle Victoria Beckham made famous – it's a bob but has a long front and short back.

I'm back at the hairdressers in a month and am taking the final plunge and having my hair dyed black (used to be blonde) and changed my red streak to a purple one – purple is much more me!

  3. Little girls look their prettiest with flowers in their hair.

The last time I changed my hairdo I was in Year 8 at school. I suffered through the torment of being called 'Chewbacca' until the hair grew back. A reddish mullet is never a good look. LOL.

  4. Lacey's hair is gorgeous! I had hair like hers until I was about 3/4 years old. It was slow growing, but when it grew it grew. She's so cute!

  5. I got my hair cut a week ago into a ear length bob after trying to grow it from pixie length. I so want it to grow longer…I miss having long hair.

  6. oh Chantelle, this is so embarrassing to admit but I still have the same hairstyle that I did when I was 20!!
Not only is that 18 yrs ago but it was the 80's !!!!
When I wore my hair down one day (its usually up 24/7) a lady I worked with said “oh its like days of our lives hair” – still working out if that's a compliment hahaha
    xox

  7. I jut had my hair cut at the weekend… I asked for 'a few layers and a new fringe but don't take anything off the length' now I have a sort of layered, 80s mullet type thing going on.. i'm not convinced!

  8. I would love to put flowers through my girl's hair… if only they had some more.
The last time I had a change was probably just over 6 weeks ago and it was a disaster! That saying about it being 6 weeks between a good haircut and a bad one is a lie just by the way!
