  1. That cake looks delish. I might have to give it a go at our Afternoon
Teal. These events are a great way to get together and spread the word
about Ovarian Cancer (it’s a cause close to my heart) with other women.
Who would I love to sit down & have a tea with? My mum, cause it’s nice to just have some girl time together.

  2. oh dear if this cake is half as good as your melt and mix chocolate cake we are in trouble
    thansk Chantelle

  3. I think this is a wonderful initiative to increase awareness. Having breast cancer myself I know how precious life is and try to enjoy quality time with the people who are important to me those who I treasure. I’d love to sit down with my daughter, my mum and my three sister in laws and have a good old natter together enjoying each other’s company with some tea, cake and a beautiful Maxwell & Williams Afternoon Teal pack.

  4. I’d love to have tea with my Nanny. She’s passed away seven years ago, just as I was becoming the woman I would have wanted her to know. She was the queen of the afternoon tea with her homemade cream buns. I’d bring my three-month-old daughter Grace for one of her squishy cuddles. It would be heaven.

  5. I’d like to sit down with my friend Simo. The best teacher then mentor and friend. Ovarian cancer is the worst and zapped all life out of her. She would probably make me bake a healthy cake though..

  6. If I were to host an afternoon tea party I would love to have a simple girly tea party with my family including past Great Grandma, Grandma, Nanna, Mum, Aunties, Cousins, Sisters, Nieces and best friend spending time together talking about family history and passing on experiences, knowledge and favourite recipes to compile a family recipe book 🙂 then would finish it off with a group photo to have on the front cover and of course to hold onto such a special memory. 🙂

  7. My Mumma. Damn, that woman needs to sit and drink a cup of tea!. She looks after my 96yr old blind grandfather who still still lives alone, my dad with two bad knees and a cardiac condition, works full time as a cleaner, looks after my sisters children after school, is moving house!
Im tired just thinking about it all but she’s chipper and just goes about her business. Sit her down and eat some cake, I say!!

  8. i’d love to have a peaceful afternoon tea with my two besties – between us we have 6 kids under 5 yrs old, and one of my friends lives in a different state so i don’t see her nearly enough… despite us all adoring our kidlets, a quiet cuppa, a piece of tea cake and a long overdue catch up without the little people around would be so grown up and so delightful.

  9. I would love to sit down and have a tea with you, Chantelle! I will make a cake for you + a cuppa and look after your lovely babes while you relax.

  10. I would love to sit down for tea with my Nana and my daughter. I miss my Nana immensely as she is now longer with us and she never met my daughter but I know the 2 of them would get on fabulously. Nana also loved afternoon tea and would always wheel the tea trolley out at 3pm with a cake tin that was ALWAYS stocked with delicious home baked yumminess! Just like your tea cake…

  11. I would love to sit quietly with my best friend for 27 years, Cheryl, over a cup of Earl Gray Tea and a piece of this wonderful cake. To sit in peace would be heavenly!
