A couple of years ago a girlfriend asked me if I’d heard of Gala {not to be confused with Gaga}. I hadn’t, but I felt like I should have… so as soon as we parted company I googled Gala Darling and found a mecca of fabulousness.
One of the overwhelming reasons I love Gala is that she’s such an advocate for self-love, and that can never be a bad thing. To Gala this isn’t just a love affair with oneself, it’s Radical Self-Love. Super rad.
On this loved up day when brand new couples, and a handful of not-so-new couples, live in a blissed up bubble of love & romance, I thought I’d share a little of Gala’s insights into Radical Self Love. Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be a series of Hallmark moments, so why not take Gala’s lead and learn to love yourself a little more. From her 100 ways you can start loving yourself right now, I heart:
♥ Make lists of reasons you love yourself…
♥ Know that you are good enough, all the time
♥ Do your very, very best to stop judging other people
♥ Wear sequins
♥ Take a bubble bath wearing a tiara
♥ Make a little extra effort every day
♥ Be good to your body
♥ Eat dark chocolate
♥ Get more sunshine
Treat yourself with a little self-love today, head over to read 91 others ways to love yourself. Happy Valentine’s Day to… you! xx
You only have to google Gala Darling to see she's not so loved by all on the internet. I used to like her blog when she was living in Melbourne but started questioning her integrity a little while back and realised I wasn't the only one feeling that way.
I don't expect you to publish this Chantelle but I thought it was worth mentioning. The words flakey, fraud and trust fund princess come to mind.
Cheers
