Point & Shoot: Mama Got A New…

M

ama got herself an iPhone. I know, I know… I’ve been living in the dark ages for far too long. Well, I’ve been living in the Blackberry ages for far too long. I had a temperamental phone that would cut out half way through the most important conversations and basically just be a naughty little phone. Goodbye Blackberry… hello iPhone. I’m in looooooove.

I haven’t had much time to play… but I’ll get there {if Lacey ever lets me have it back}.
I hope you had a lovely weekend. Hubby was away all weekend, so I spent my days hanging out with Lacey, family and friends. Hubby comes home tonight… so I’m looking forward to that. I miss him the minute he leaves. I’m a sad sack like that.
How was your weekend? Tell me… what phone do you have? Are you moving with the times, or are you the proud owner of a brick-type phone circa 1999?

  1. I've got the white iPhone and love it! Took me ages to work out that I 'needed' all these cool Apps but now I can't imagine life without! I've got a guided meditation for relaxing and story books for my toddler all in my phone; yes it's love 🙂

  2. I have a Nokia E63 which we jokingly call the poor man's blackberry. It does everything I want and need. I'm not a fan of the iphone. although it seems to be life changing for everyone else. I think it may be like crack or religion. I'll probably get one when the next big thing comes out.

  3. I resisted getting an iPhone for a long time but finally caved last year.

I was in love with it when I first got it but now – meh, not really fussed, it's contract runs out next June so I don't know whether I'm going to get another iPhone[4] or look for another smart phone because there are actually ones that are better than the iPhone now.

I used to have an e63 but now Guvnor has that.

  4. Blackbery here… I need to do a lot of emailing for work from it and the iPhone didn't seem to like my 'touch'. I miss the apps though! Oh, how I miss the apps! x

  5. PS – You're not a sad sack. I feel exactly the same way the minute LOML is out of my site. It's ridiculous, but I live with permanent 'missing' until we're together again. x

  6. Add me to the iphone freak list as well. I just upgraded to an iphone 4 and am freaked out by the video camera. I love having something so portable for those unexpected kiddo moments.
What apps have you downloaded, I love finding new ones. I'm a bit of a tight ar*e and don't like to buy many but I did just discover Paper Town friends. It was supposed to be for Sadie but I'm ADDICTED. Soooo cute.

  7. Ahhh I heart my iphone!!!!
I even did a blog about it LOL.
And yes Ali is right YOU HAVE TO GET HIPSTAMIC APP – its addictive. Oh and the covers – I have a pink one that's all bling.
I pimped my phone LOL. xox

  8. Oh yay. Lucky you! 😉
I know what you mean about the kid's not wanting to give back your phone! Mine hog it to play crash bandicoot and BEN 10!
I have had my iphone for 2 years and it has been great! I would love to upgrade soon, so I am interested to know how the new ones are.
    x

  9. I was way back in the dark ages until recently, too. Then hubby bought me an iPhone! Ahh, love 🙂
The girls love it and the hubs does too. It's a communial phone, lol.

  10. I have an iPhone 4. My 3gs one died because Miss 3 & 1/2 decided the cat in one of the apps on my phone was thirsty and needed a drink of water. So she ran it under the tap. Luckily I was due for a new phone soon and the man at Vodafone was very nice and got his supervisor to waive the rest of my wait on my contract to get a new phone. Lucky.

She now knows phone and water does not mix.

    Hipstamatic and iPhone is ace.

I love my iPhone because I also have an iMac and a macbook pro, so I have dropbox and can access my files from any computer or my phone from there no matter where I am. Very handy for my work.

enjoy playing with the new phone.

Ps – I also love shazam. I have found some great music that way.

  11. I've got a phone. Remember those mobile phones in Nash Bridges? One of those flip phones back in the 1980's. Hey, don't laugh…it still works! Where I live an I-phone would be totally, completely useless! Yes, it would. No cell tower coverage in our valley. A tin can and string would work better. Heck. Yelling works better. At least the neighbor farmers out in their fields can hear me when I yell. Yeah. Yelling works. Still.
Visiting from BYW class; love your blog.

  12. although i am secretly lusting for the design and some of the applications of the iphone, i stubbornly snob apple in public because of their 'closed unit' policy. i have a white nokia n97 with heaps of external applications and i am still (sort of) loving it. the keyboard makes a lot of sense for me for writing in languages other than engl. this said, mrAwesome wants an ipad and i can't wait to get my hands on it..
not due for a phone this year, so hopefully when it's up for renewal there will be some real alternatives to chose from (including the iphone…mmmmh)
    nice photos !
