Photo A Day Challenge / March 2016

Howdy!

How are you?

I’m well, thanks for asking. ?

Today I’m bringing you the list for March. March is the birthday month for our family. Is crazy and fun and filled with cake! SO MUCH CAKE!

Without further ado, the list for March…

Photo A Day Challenge / March 2016

HOW TO PLAY

+ Playing along is really simple! Just look at the list each day and take a photo using the prompt as inspiration. So, for example, Day 1 is GREEN. So all you have to do is take a photo of something GREEN. You can be as creative as you like.
+ You can then share your photo on either Facebook or Instagram or both! To share on Instagram, just upload with the hashtag #FMSphotoaday and you’re done {more details below if you need them though!} and to share on Facebook, upload to your personal page or jump into our Facebook group and share there.

HOW TO PLAY ON INSTAGRAM

+ Simply upload the photo to Instagram, add a caption {you could mention the day and the prompt in the caption}, add the hashtag #FMSphotoaday and then publish.
+ Check out the #fmsphotoaday hashtag to see all the other photos. Like them. Comment on them. Be part of the community.
+ Each day a Fab Four is picked from the photos shared on Instagram for the challenge. It’s four photos that have captured our attention from each prompt. Check the feed {@littlemomentsapp} to see the photos.
+ Due to some spam issues on Instagram, we’re introducing the daily hashtag as well. We’re doing this because spammers are jumping on popular hashtags and sharing photos not relevant to our challenge. I’d encourage you to use both the #FMSphotoaday hashtag and the daily hashtag from the list below. If this is too complicated for you {I get it!} just use the #FMSphotoaday hashtag and be on your way. Alternatively, my App {The Little Moments App for iPhone/iPad} generates the daily hashtag for you automatically so it takes all the thinking out of it for you!

HOW TO SHARE ON FACEBOOK

+ Upload the photo to Facebook – you can either share on your personal page, on your business page {if you have one} or in our Facebook Photo A Day group {you’ll be added within 12 hours of requesting}, add a caption {you could mention the day and the prompt in the caption} and then publish.
+ Check out the photos shared in the group, or among your friends. Comment, like and be part of the photo-taking community.
+ Each day a Fab Four is picked from the photos shared in our Facebook group for the challenge by our lovely admin team. It’s four {or more} photos that have captured our attention from each prompt. The photos are made into a collage, shared and pinned to the top of the group.

HOW TO REMEMBER THE PROMPTS EASILY

+ For all devices and PC, we upload the prompts which you can download automatically into your phone or PC calendar. For Smartphones & Mac Calendar, click here. For HTML for web viewing, click here.
+ You can also print out the list, save it as your screensaver or save it to your camera roll.
+ If you’re a lucky iPhone or iPad owner, you can use the Little Moments App to remind you of what the prompts are, as well as make your photos a bit fancy. You can grab the App here.

If you want more help with the prompts, and ideas of what to take photos below, read on:

1. GREEN
As you go about your day today, look for something green. Take a photo and share it!

2. GOOD
Take a photo of something good. It can be absolutely anything that is good in nature; like something you like, an act of kindness, or something else good!

3. ART
If you look, you will find it… especially if you go on an adventure to the art gallery! Take a photo of art. It could be graffiti or art by the kids even!

4. THE WEATHER
What’s the weather like where you are today? Share it in a photo.

5. SQUARE
See if you can find squares are you go about your day. You might see them in windows, signs, books… keep an eye out.

6. NEUTRALS
When you think of a neutral colour, what do you think of? Light greys? Beige.  Share a photo of neutrals!

7. HELLO!
This is very vague, and that’s intentionally. It can be anything – but when I think of it, I think of that excited look my dog gets when she sees me for the first time in the day, like HELLO!

8. MAKING
What do you make? Or what do you see others make? It could be art, craft, a hobby, something being made for work. Share it in a photo.

9. EVERYDAY
This is something that happens or is used every single day. What would that be in your life?

10. COLLECTION
We collect shells, erasers and buttons. What do you have a collection of? Snap it!

11. CLOUDS
Those white things in the sky. Yes. Take a photo. And if by chance they don’t happen to appear today, you’ll just have to get a little bit creative. Eek!

12. ABSTRACT
Abstract is something that isn’t really defined or recognisable. You can create an abstract image by moving your camera quickly and creating blur, or you could take a photo of something really close-up so it becomes less recognisable.

13. THIS IS FUNNY
What’s funny? A joke, an animal, or something someone has created. Think about what makes you laugh and share it.

14. PEOPLE
People are everywhere, except if you live somewhere isolated… then you’re in trouble…! Take a photo of people. You could get up high and take a photo of people so they look like small ants. Have fun with it.

15. GIFT
This could be a wrapped present, or something that you feel is a gift in your life.

16. FRUIT
Fruit! Whichever fruit you please!

17. THROW IT!
Yes, I’m asking you to throw something. You should pick up leaves and throw them, or confetti, or a ball… see it, throw it, shoot it!

18. BIG + SMALL
How can you show something big and small in a photo. I’m thinking a small child next to a huge tree, or a child on the beach in front of the vast ocean taken from afar. Show big and small in the one photo.

19. COOKING
What can you cook today? And if you don’t cook… maybe visit someone who does!

20. MOVEMENT
Take a photo of movement. It could be a car flying by, a person jumping, or the trees moving in the wind. Think about how you can put movement in a photo.

21. THIS IS NEW!
What is something you’ve recently purchased? Take a photo of it.

22. VEGETABLE
Yes, a vegetable. Take a photo and share it.

23. A FAVOURITE
This can be anything that you’d call a favourite. A photo, a toy, a person, a book… anything!

24. HANDS
The hands on a clock or the hands on a person. Snap them!

25. TOY
Take a photo of a toy. It can’t get easier!

26. MINIMAL
Keep it simple. Take anything out of the shot that isn’t necessary. Take a minimal photo.

27. FLYING
Birds fly, planes fly… take a photo of something flying. You could even make a paper aeroplane.

28. HAPPINESS
How can you show happiness in a photo. Perhaps you could do a flatlay of a few things that make you REALLY happy?

29. NIGHT LIGHTS
Head out at night and take photo of the night lights.

30. BUDDIES
Yes, friends! Take a photo of friends.

31. HALF
Take a photo of half of something.
