One of those days (or weeks).

So tired right now.

Lacey doesn’t think sleeping is a very good idea right now, when I do. I very much so do.

She has a little cough though that I think keeps waking her up, and then she won’t settle. The only way we can get her to settle is to rock her in the laundry with the drier going. Even then when I place her back in her cot she wakes… and back to the laundry I go.

I got to work yesterday and Kid No. 3 was sick with a vomitting bug and Kid No. 4 had sprained her ankle and couldn’t walk. So I’m carrying around a 27kg kid. Kid No. 2 came home from school yesterday with what looks like the chicken pox. Joy.

I guess I’ll find out this morning when I go whether it is or not. I don’t know what else it could be.

I tell you what would be fun? It would be fun if little Lacey caught these chicken pox. Not. Imagine the poor little mite. And that would be just in time for the Christening too.

So I’ve been up since 3:30am and haven’t had a wink of sleep since. Of course that makes me want to eat. I feel like having two pieces of toast instead of the one piece I am allowed.

Anyway Miss Lacey needs me, and I have to go to work.

All fun and games here. x

  1. Oh dear hope it’s not what you think and Lacey stays healthy (especially for her christening!), but on the bright side, it’s better if kids do go through chickenpox early on in their lives, although no fun for us mummies!

I was intrigued (in a car crash kind of way) to hear of pox parties where parents voluntarily take their healthy infants to an infected child’s place to catch chickenpox – you could make money off this one…..LOL!!

  2. I hear you on the week. It’s just a crappy one all around. Oh, wait…it just started.

I hope she doesn’t get sick and gets to sleeping better 🙁

I’ve heard of people wanting their little ones to get it too. I think it’s because they get over it so much easier (shingles are more common later).
