One more day

If you could spend one more day as a child, what would you do?

I’d love to…

♥ wake up early, + then wake up my brother + sisters
♥ spend time with my Nanna, Pop + Grandad
♥ scoop myself up into my Ma’s lap for a while
♥ spend the day in my cossies, + not think about my body
♥ eat hot chips + sauce
♥ write a story {+ let my mind take me to faraway places}
♥ hop on my bike + explore the woods with my siblings
♥ dream about Christmas Day
♥ have a hand-stand competition in the pool
♥ dream about being an adult
♥ dance
♥ play Super Mario Bros on our old Nintendo
♥ read Roald Dahl books
♥ eat chocolate + not feel guilty

What about you?

  1. If I could go back I would plan a Friday night sleepover and rent VHS movies and get candy, I would be excited for the fall carnival, and dig holes at the beach in my bathing suit!

  2. Play epic Barbie games for days on our ftont verandah
Make cubby houses out of a couple of sheets and a handful of pegs
Climb trees and not worry about falling out or getting stuck (or anyone looking up my skirt)
Laugh so hard that I can't breathe and I might even wet my pants

  3. I'd sit in my room and play barbies, rock my dolls to sleep and dress up in my Princess Jasmine costume. I'd swing on the swings, spin around until I felt too dizzy to stand and collapse on the grass and watch the clouds.

I miss being a child sometimes! I'll always tell my children “don't be in a hurry to grow up”

    X

  4. This post is gorgeous. It reminds me of the days when you didn't have a care in the world. And it was so good.

I'd do it all over again (but miss those teenage angsty years). xx

  5. I'd love to…

~ make up silly games with my childhood friends where we would play & laugh at each other,
~ play board games with my Mum, Dad and two brothers
~ visit my grandparents more often and tell them how much I love them,
~ enjoy playing with my older brothers
~ enjoy one last holiday as a family

  6. Very typical of me, but just to spend hours and hours playing around out in the surf…and enjoying a big paper wrapped parcel of hot chips soaked in vinegar, and laying on the couch for the rest of the afternoon..One day I will do this again!x

  7. I would absolutely love to meet my paternal grandmother and hear her beautiful Irish brogue. I have a lovely 2nd birthday card, but never put a face or a voice to the handwriting.

  8. Spend time with my father & grandparents. Not worry about time commitments and bills that need to be paid. 🙂

Thank you for your blog! I love reading it. It is a daily joy for me! I relate so much to your life, but mine here in Florida in the states.

  9. I'd definitely play with my sister, ride my bike for hours, explore the tropical environment in Panama (where I spent a portion of my childhood), climb trees, and read Roald Dahl books!! And, I'd appreciate every millisecond of each of those activities!
