  1. We made our tree change 5 years ago and it took a good 18 months for me to make the realization that I was no longer in holiday here! My waistline hated me lol

  2. I have been a long time Bud Ice drinker, but I’ve discovered the Shock Top beers. I love the orange and the raspberry shocktop. We have a local micro brewery/restaurant here that also brews a raspberry beer that I like. If we’re talking mixed drinks I prefer an appletini or an amaretto sour.

  3. French Canadian here.
Wine is my drink of choice. And fellow lightweight as well.
I’m a complete discredit to my culture. We are known for our uhh consumption of wine.
    sigh.

  4. I didn’t know there was a name for it! Dry July! We are one week into a two-week break… not sure why, during the hottest part of the year in the US. Congrats on the fridge!

  5. When we bought our new house last year my husband’s parents bought us a brand new refrigerator. We got one with the water and crushed AND cubed ice! It was my favorite gift ever!! I’m totally with you on the “dream come true” thing. 🙂 And I like to drink coke and Malibu rum.

  6. I am also a French Canadian (now living in Ontario) and wine is or was my vice, I would love a glass of red every night with dinner, it just seemed right, but since we moved to Ontario 6 weeks ago I have become dry thanks to our dedication to Atkins…. sigh…. I do miss my wine.

  7. Rekorderlig cider goes down a treat here too, I like the elderflower version best. I’m not much of a drinker, but a glass of wine now and then (now and then would probably mean once or twice a month if I’m honest) and my favourite cocktail is cosmopolitan made with orange flavoured vodka.

  8. Never fear, Chantelle! I am a lightweight too & only drink on occasion.
But when I do, its one of these:
    Midori & Lemonade!!
    Brown Brothers Dolcetto and Syrah
    XXXX Summers

  9. Would it surprise you to hear that wine or champagne are my drinks of choice? No, I thought not… you’ve read enough of my comments on forums and FB over the years. *lol* I’m currently dry (not through choice!) and was slightly surprised that the local bottle-o was still showing a profit. *lol*

Note to self: Buy that piccolo of champagne for the labour bag.

  10. One glass of wine maybe twice a year. I used to drink more as a younger adult (I was a bartender for 10 years) but as I have aged that has ended and now I am a teetotaler mostly as after one glass of wine I am sloshed.
