e don’t celebrate Valentine’s here. We’re not anti-valentines, but going out to a restaurant on a popular night, like tonight… filled with couples filled to the brim with love {and probably wine} isn’t our cup of tea.
We’d rather be in love in the comfort of our own home, with just our own little family. And there will probably be chocolate cake {or souffle} to make things that little bit sweeter.
I hope you share your love today. It doesn’t have to be with a cheesy hallmark card {although ironically I did, mine had something to do with covering Hubby in chocolate, or something} but it can be with a smile. A hug. A knowing glance. A wink.
Spread love where ever you shall go today. xx
Happy V-Day chantelle & i totally agree with you..I'm spending V- Day at a cafe this morning for breakfast with my family – no matter how you chose to spend it still will be special in your little way Xx
We don't celebrate it here much either. DH is very agaist the commercial aspects of it. But still Happy Valentines day to you too!
Happy Vday to you lovely lady!
I'll be at a school mass, with a morning tea afterwards. Quite frankly, I think that's perfect. We'll be surrounded by a lot of love!!!
xx
I almost forgot it was Valentines Day today. We don't usually celebrate it either. I thought I'd suprise hubby by sneaking back into bed with not much on… let's just say he's pretty happy with that! 😉
Hear Yeeeeee!
Love Days should in theory, be Everyday…! <3
I'm with ya…we never go out on V-day. We can show our love much better right here at home 😉
Dear chantelle. I hope you have a fun day regardless of it being Valentine's day! Happy Chinese New Year to you and happy National Condom Day!
Spending relaxing time together is what its all about – not the expensive dinner out. You have the right idea. Have a fun day.
whatever you do – it will be lovely! chocolate cake sounds heavenly… rowe x
Ditto! Content and at home with the family, once kids go t bed tonight, the duvet, chocolate and a good movie on the couch with the hubby is my idea of heaven!
We don't do V day either..but I could not resist the red chocolate heart chocolate at the shops, so I bought it and left in on hubbys pillow for when he got home from work at 6 this morning…noticed the wrapper on the bedside table, so he must have enjoyed it x
Home with the family for the most part then later off to make deliveries. I'm baking a special cheesecake tonight. I'm going to package the slices nicely. Then my 4 year old will make a little card. Tomorrow evening we will deliver out little gifts to an elderly family friend who is like a 2nd mom to me and another goes to my best friend who is in the country for her father's funeral which was today. Her hubby and kids are back in the US. Enjoy your Day with the family.
Happy Valentine's Day Chantelle.
I am really not into the big crowds and such when I go out as well.
So, right now, I am still in my PJs pondering whether I should go out.
I agree!!
