If you’re in Australia and you breathe, you will know that a few months back something took the country by storm. Kids everywhere were talking about them, and parents were even a little obsessed with them. Yes, obsessed. I’m talking about the Woolies Aussie Animals Collectable Cards.

Lacey loved them and quickly collected the whole set. Even this week, so many weeks later, she’s been carrying her folder around with her, asking me to play games with her. That folder is quickly becoming over-loved and tattered. We’ve played guess the animal, animal battle and fun facts – all games that we clearly made up to entertain her.

I know parents and kids the country over will be excited to hear that Woolies is about to launch a new collection of Aussie Animals cards, this time with Baby Wildlife being the focus. To celebrate they’ve launched a very cool competition. They’re searching for the most passionate collector, Australia’s Collectables Kid. Does that sound like your child?

Three lucky kidlets will win over 2000 of the Limited Edition Baby Wildlife cards to share among family and friends, as well as their own trading day with animal face painting and a special experience from Taronga Zoo. All you have to do is share a photo of your child dressed up as an Aussie Animal on Instagram along with the hashtag #aussieanimals and write in the caption why your little one is the most passionate collector in the whole country. You can find out more information on how to enter and the prizes here.

And if you’re keen {or the kids!} to get collecting again, the Baby Wildlife cards will be at your local supermarket from the 4th December until Christmas Eve, and just like before you’ll get one pack for four cards FREE for every $20 you spend. They’ll also be releasing a new mini-album that can neatly fit into the first Aussie Animals Collectables album, or stand alone on it’s own. So call the grandparents, the aunts and the uncles and tell them to collect the cards for your kidlets. Happy collecting.
