Hello There.

Photobucket

Good morning my friends.

If you live in Sydney, then no doubt you’re still recovery from a corker of a hot weekend. What a stinker it was yesterday! I organised our extended family Christmas party {as I do every year} and it just happened to fall on what seemed like the hottest day EVER! Lucky we were near the ocean so had a little bit of a breeze. Presents, cupcakes and a cool drink always help too.

I finally recovered from the flu. It was only yesterday that I felt almost normal. On Friday Lacey started to come down with it, and by Saturday she was in a sad state. She just kept grabbing her head and screaming. I thought I had a week of her being ill ahead of me, but thankfully after a huge sleep in the afternoon and then twelve hours at night she woke Sunday happy, and back to her normal self. Phew.

So enough about me. I need to know all about you. What happened with you over this past week? I need to know all the details.

  1. YOU'RE BACK!! Glad you're feeling better. And also glad that the cool change has come overnight. It was still 41 degrees at 830 last night, and I don't live anywhere near the Western suburbs so I have no idea how anyone out there coped!

  2. Wasn't it so incredibly hot! If someone had knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to buy airconditioning I think I would have signed anything 😛

    Good to hear that you're fully recovered now! 😀 And good that Lacey didn't come down with a serious case of it too!

  3. Jovie & I have been a bit sick the past few days – not fun in the heat, but I'm glad it's cooler this morning 🙂

    Glad to hear you & little Lacey doing better also – must be a mother/daughter thing to do LOL

  4. Great you are back! Glad Lacey is not sick and that you are feeling better. We entertained most of the weekend while hubby went off to Pearl Jam last night. Have a great week!

  5. Oh dear, 43 degrees?! Now that is hot. I live in Broome, and thought it was steamy here, at 34 degrees! My weekend consisted of salad, cold beer, the pool and then airconditioning. Glad u & your bub are feeling better, love ur blog, its my fave

  6. Lovely to see you back 🙂
    Last week was a week of trying very hard but not getting much done!!

    Oh I did meet Giovanni Pilu 🙂 that was cool.

    Here's hoping this week I get more done!

  7. @Jane: Thanks for missing me. How lovely. It was so freaking hot last night, wasn't it? I told Hubby to wake me when the change came through!

    @Lorraine: Me too. I was thinking about where we could fit in the AC, and how lovely it would be with it. I was even telling Lacey how we could have it just here, and we'd be so cool. Thanks for the wishes.

    @Jen: Oh my goodness! That must have been incredibly frightening. How is the pram?

  8. @Megan: Awww. Thank you. Welcome and enjoy. xx

    @Tracey: Yeah, we're just so on trend! Sending healthy vibes your way. xx

    @Hayley: That sounds like fun!

    @Shazzy: Yes, I must say 43 was pretty unbearable! Thank you. xx

    @Liss: OOOohh. How cool. xx

    @Linda: Thank you. I've joined in. Sounds like HUGE amounts of fun. xx

  9. Glad to hear that you are feeling better and sweet Lacey didn't get it as well.

    What have we been up to – we took off from London for a week of playing and sightseeing and new adventures in New York and so far we are having a ball – albeit early mornings as raya hasn't adjusted to the time difference

    We are missing the heat
