  1. Sounds like you enjoyed it telle and it was definitely the weather for it.

Our weekend started terribly with some shocking news.

I went to the baby and kids market hoping to get some bargains but there wasn't alot of stuff there.

Then we went for a picnic at Putney Park, it was glorious and Oliver just loved the big slippery slide.

  2. The highlight of my weekend was going on a beautiful picnic with my Hubby and kids. We really enjoyed strolling around Fagan Park, feeding the ducks, kicking the ball and playing in the sand. Then stopping for ice-cream on the way home. Days like that are really good for the soul!

  3. Your weekend sounds lovely! It must be wonderful being so close to the beach 🙂

The highlight of my weekend was being waited on hand and foot. I'm sure the novelty is going to wear off soon (on both sides!) so I've decided to enjoy it for what it is, while it lasts!

  4. OMG I took a pic of the 2009 too (It's on my next blog entry!!)

    You're brave with that crowd!!

Highlight: getting things done I've been putting off forever, watching hubby have fun with his girls and definitely our trip to the EQ yesterday and watching the my kids with the animal kids!!

  5. my boyfriends mum does it. my boyfriend was in it ages ago – but yesterday we decided next year we would do it together. hence my 'what is beautiful?' post..cause i guess that means i will have to lose weight and get fitter..

highlight – we had the house to ourselves this weekend and was bliss! just makes me want to move out with him just that extra bit more [we live with his dad atm].

    xx

  6. Sounds like a lovely weekend!

Callum's school was in the Whale Festival Parade and I was supposed to help with face painting on Saturday but was feeling really sick so pulled out. We went and watched him on Saturday night though, his school were amazing. And they won. Afterwards we went to the fair.

Yesterday Nina (who also has a cold) had a duathlon. It was run, swim, run. She came first in the open division!

  7. My sister in law ran it and I'm in awe. Both she and the Hubby did the run, while Nana looked on with the bubba's. I think I'm in your camp though, happy to watch!

  8. That cupcake was totally ready for its close-up – looks delish…

    Our weekend involved a truly stupendous Art of Dr Seuss exhibition that small kids and big kids alike enjoyed – and enormous steak sandwiches for dinner last night to celebrate a friend completing the City to Surf for the first time ever {didn't see him in your pics…}

  9. I would have looked out for you in the crowds if I had known! Hubby and I both went in the race (he ran the whole way and did his best time – I ran/walked) but it was my first time in it and I am so glad that I did it! Bondi did put itself on parade yesterday, it was just gorgeous down there!

  10. Simone – I hope everything is okay. 🙁

Dani – They are good for the soul, aren't they? You can really feel your inner self being nurtured. Lovely. x

Jen – I hope it never ends for you. It is lovely living so close to the beach. 🙂

Liss – It's great seeing the boys turn into mushy giants with their babies, isn't it? Oh, and great minds definitely think alike. x

Carly-Grace – I bet it was lovely to have time to yourselves! That's definitely BLISS! x

Faith – The bike sounds uber cute. Thanks for the compliment. x

Amanda – Go Nina! Unbelievable when her health wasn't 100% too. I hope you're feeling better. x

    Candice – Just secretly it's more fun watching… 😉

PPMJ – Ha ha ha. I should have taken photos of all 75,000 runners perhaps!

Hayley – DArn it! I should have told you where I was so I could have cheered you on. x

Alicia – Argh. Teeth suck. There's no better way to put it. I hope they come down quickly. xx

  11. It was a gorgeous day wasn't it! I managed to run 10kms of the race, and that was with no training! Needless to say I'm payign for it now.

I was wondering if you'd be out and about.xx

  12. I ran the city2surf this year – 18 minutes faster than my previous personal best. The crowd make it such an awesome atmosphere. I know its a pain but I love it that so many make an effort to watch the race.

Running this weekend was my highlight! I last ran this race two years ago. A week later I was involved in an accident that has left me with chronic pain syndromes. One of my goals was to make it through the city2surf. Then I ate cupcakes on the beach so a memorable day all round.

  13. Sounds like you had a great weekend – even if you nearly did take out a runner!

My weekend involved getting my hair cut and dyed (I view going to the hairdressers the same way I view the dentist – a necessary evil) and then spent the rest of the weekend painting the bathroom. I am so rock n roll 😉
