Happy Thursday.

I

am writing this at 3:46am. I’d love to say that I am quite the party animal and I haven’t been to bed yet, but instead I’ve been up for an hour with my precious two year old who just decided that sleep was for the weak. I’m weak. I’ll take the sleep!

Dora is so much more annoying at this time of night/morning… but it’s better than tossing and turning in bed and fighting it. I just can’t be bothered. I think I’m in for a looooooong day today.

Anyways, moving on.

We spent Monday at The Royal Easter Show for Lacey’s second birthday. We avoided the rides, and the crowds, but soaked up the animals and the show bags {one can never have enough coloured junk, right?}.

Our feet were so sore by the end of the day, and our little 2 year old fell asleep in our arms. It was all too much to handle.

I loved looking at the contrast of City folk and Country folk. I loved seeing all the families working together to show of their animals, their pride and joy {both the animals and the kids}.

I can’t wait to go again next year…

Things were so busy this week that I forgot about point and shoot, so that will definitely be back next Monday. And my promised review of the Pamper’s nappies will be next week too {I know you’re all waiting anxiously for that!}.

Happy Thursday my friends. I hope you all got a truckload more sleep than I did. xx

  1. 5.34am for me. Ack. I thought we were meant to be having HOLIDAYS!!

I LOVE your Easter Show pics. Gosh she's a gorgeous little being xx

  2. I have a 2yr old daughter who also thinks sleep is a waste of time! Going on 27months and still waiting for a full night's sleep! Anyone else in this boat? Chantelle, did you get any sleep after your post? I hope so 🙂
It's nice to know that I'm not alone in the world of sleep-deprivation 🙂
    Have a great day!
    Claire 🙂

  3. Yikes. I can imagine that Dora could get pretty tiresome at that hour of the morning! I hope you can get an extra early night tonight! Now, break out the coffee!

  4. I feel your pain. Someone (not me) has decided to grow molars and has also decided that sleep is for the weak. We were up at 4.14am yesterday and had no naps. So I understand. This morning was slightly better – 5.14am (funny that it was exactly an hour later).

Nice photos! Your photography is really improving!

  5. Gah Dora sounds so obnoxious!! I curse day care for ever introducing my girls to her!
Yay Easter Show! Glad you had a great time. We'll be going next Tuesday and I cannot wait!!

  6. so tempted to come up for a day or two and go to the show, but I don't like the idea of going without hubby… (he cant get off work)

We went last year with just one, but now with 2 kids just seems a handful, the canberra show was enough and its a tenth of the size.

I was kept awake with sick hubby who couldn't keep still!!! he kept flinching and coughing and spluttering! I ended up on the couch at 5am and dozed until 7am when bub woke for a feed.

    sick husbands are the WORST!

  7. Haha, I took the same photo of the clowns!
We went today and it is so exhausting!!
Only 4 hours, but it felt like an eternity!!
The animal nursery was the BEST! We spent 45 mins in there…
    xx

  8. oh i love the easter show… we are going monday and audrey is so excited! she says its her most favourite thing to do ever! we go every year but we dont avoid the rides cause we all love them so much. i love watching the horses too… so fun!
