I have no new photos to share with you from the weekend, for many reasons. I’d love to say that our weekend was so chocker block full of fun that I was too busy swinging from the chandeliers to take photos… but that would be a lie. Instead, my hands were constantly covered in white paint and there was nothing exciting to be taking photos of. So I am sharing a photo from last weekend instead. Forgive me? Thanks. I knew you would.
I’ve had this grand plan for renovating our bed into something new and fresh for a while now. I wasn’t sure if it would work, but I hoped it would. And it did. We cut off the bottom bedhead and painted the old wood white. It looks pretty good. The finish isn’t as schmick as I expected it to be, but then I have to remember that I painted it. And I’m impatient. Within a matter of hours I’d done a pathetic attempt at sanding, and painted three coats…. and then put it all back together {chipping it in the process, tutt tutt}.
We also got rid of so much CLUTTER. I started reading the book: It’s All Too Much by Peter Walsh and it’s good. It made me realise I was hanging on to far too much … stuff. And it’s just … stuff.
Anyways… moving on.

I spent the weekend covered in white paint too! It took an undercoat and THREE topcoats but now my new bathroom walls are a nice crisp white. Lovely.
Sounds like a busy one Telle! I'd love to see a picture of your bed finished. I have these grand plans of attacking my bed with white paint one day.
Our weekend was nice and cruisy. A visit to the Grandparents, baking, swimming, movies. A bit of shopping. The usual.
I had a fantastic weekend. Took bubba to the beach and she had a blast! Went out to dinner (child-free) on Friday night for my birthday and had a great time laughing and remembering old times with friends. Was home by 10pm 🙂
Once the yucky dust subsided a bit, I got stuck into some cleaning and achieved a lot more than I expected. All in all, a great weekend!

Sadly I lost my weekend to the footy grand final (hubby's team lost, so time had to be spent consoling as well) and working night shifts. The upside of that is that I have 4 days off coming up from tomorrow (when I finish my nights). Yay!
i found out my pap smear results. and then spent the next two days in bed. not to mention friday night i drank. and saturday was my boyfriend's birthday. which he spent in tears. and me in shock.
I'm sure the chip just makes it look shabby-chic!
