Going overboard

I have about 5 photos from my childhood, and no video at all, so I’m going overboard with Lacey and making sure she has more than enough. Each birthday I’ve been putting together a video of the year for her to look back on. She’s always loved watching them, and can’t believe that the wee little baby was her.

Here’s her video for her third year. You can see her first video here and her second video here too. The song {cos I know you’ll ask!} is by Mindy Gledhill and is called Whole Wide World. Enjoy. x

  1. Awwww that's beautiful telle 🙂 Off to watch the other two now, have you seen the one Nicole over at Making it Lovely made for her daughter Eleanor? It's beautiful as well.

  2. Thats so sweet.. Such a cute idea.. I have lots of short movies that i didnt quite know what to do with. But know I do! 😛

  3. What a lovely idea Chantelle! I have been super-slack with my youngest – only just printed out some photos to frame and he's 17 months old. How bad is that?!!

Love the yearly video by the way!

  4. What a lucky girl Lacey is, she'll treasure this video, so very special. I hope I can do the same for our future children!

  5. wow can;t believe how grown up she is! DOesn't feel that long ago that you were announcing your pregnancy!

Can't believe I almost have a three year old too.

but isn't it fun watching them become little people!!

    She is beautiful Telle xo

  6. Gorgeous! And thanks for the reminder that I've been completely and utterly slack with our photos. Oldest is seven now. Must get onto it before she leaves home!

  7. so gorgeous, I love it…. I need to know how to make one for layla and jesse, I am not clever enough!!

  8. What a wonderful idea! I started writing a letter each year to each of our children, telling them what happend that year and what I remembered about them in particular, but I didn't see it through, I ended up summarizing 😉 and then quit all together :-(. I may start again if I have the discipline ;-). Have a great day – maks :-).
P.S. The letters are handwritten, I thought this would make it more personal 😉

  9. This is absolutely gorgeous Chantelle – it almost brought me to tears. Your memories captured forever in stills and video. Keep it up!

  10. That's fabulous Chantelle! Lacey is guaranteed to love looking back at these video memories with great fondness when she is older.

  11. I love how you've documented Lacey's childhood so perfectly, through these movies and the beautiful letters you write to her. You've definitely inspired me to do the same with my kids when they eventually come along.

Love these photos, and how perfect is that song?! Lacey is beautiful xxx
