My beautiful girlfriend Peita has recently taken the leap and launched her own little business. I’m so proud of her, and all that she’s done. Smitten is her little baby and where she sells her signature smitts {stylish oven mitts}, sweet stylish aprons and beautiful scented candles. I’m a bit of a candle nut, and these definitely pass my test {and I’m fussy!}. They smell beautiful time after time.

  2. I'm a bit of a red fan so I'd have to say the red polka dotted Smitt (our current one desperately needs replacing … embarrassingly threadbare & grotty) and I'd love the brown sugar & shortbread candle. Sounds good enough to eat.

    Wow the products your friend sells are amazing as is the website. Looks like I will have to take a drive from the South Coast to go to the markets they are at to be able to smell all of the divine scents they have – I wonder how some are even possible!

  16. Wow your friend is so talented. I'd even consider pretending to be a domestic godess in order to have some of those things.

    The Smitts would have been helpful when I made your cookie recipe on the weekend. I think the Cupcake cutie pie in Mint or yellow would work and I love the sound of the creme brulee scent. Although I have to admit it was extremely hard to narrow down my choice as they sounded delicious.

  17. I have to say I instantly fell in love with the red Polkadot Smitt, seeing this is the style I have for my tea-towels already! Nothing like an organised, stylish kitchen!

    I think I'd have to go for the Clean and Fresh-candle… if it will bring on the illusion of a clean and fresh home, then yes please, I'll take it! With twins and a baby the cleanliness will have to remian an illusion for the next decade or so… 🙂

  39. I'm not afraid to say I like me some leopard, so my choice of smitt design was fairly easy. But those scents oh man, they all sound so good. I'd most definitely love to get a whiff of the baby powder though.

  40. Simply gorgeous! For me I'd definately go the little black dress smitt! (though for my mum def the frangipani and my sis in law the cupcake cutie pie in baby pink!!)

    And for a candle I'd say Summer Breeze but there's so many there that sound so yummy! (could tots go Cafe Caramel latte or any of the vanialla or even Home sweet home! or the lavender ones!)

    Oh dear.. now I want to spend money I don't have.. *sigh* but this site is GORGEOUS!

  41. There are many interesting candle scents but the one that stood out to me was Home Sweet Home. It brings back memories of family and fills me with warmth in this chilly winter day.
    I think the cupcake cutie pie in baby pink is so cute I am hesitant to even use it!

    I love the black and white polka dot smitts (then I would have my own pair as my 4 year old has re-commissioned mine as his own play thing).

    I've been renting a house now for two years that DOESN”T HAVE AN OVEN!!!! Unheard of I know! Around March 2012 I finally get to move into my own place that funnily enough comes with AN OVEN! So I am really looking forward to getting some funky smitts on and baking up a storm. I love the Pink Gingham smitt and it would definitely get a good work out next year.
    And the cinnamon spice would do wonders for the odd day that I wouldn't bake up a storm!
