I didn’t get to the markets for flowers this week so these beautiful flowers {are they jonquils? anyone?} are from our local florist. They smell amazing. It fills the whole house. Well… perhaps not the whole house… but I can smell them from here which is a fair distance away.
Lacey loves flowers. For a while now whenever she sees flowers she wants to smell them, which actually is quite the opposite of smelling. She sees a flower and she’ll blow air out her nose instead of breathing in. She really doesn’t know what she’s missing out on.
This little sprig of the jonquils {right? wrong?} is sitting on my new work space which I have finally finished decorating. I’ll show you pictures some day soon.
Have a lovely, lovely weekend. I know I will. xx
Chantelle, I love coming to your blog whenever I nurse my daughter to sleep. I love your blog design, the colours of it, and your writings of course. I also love the pics you take. 🙂
Dear chantelle. Picturing Lacey smelling the flowers: Cute! My neice did the same with blowing out candles (sucking in instead of blowing! Very cute!)
I don't think those are jonquils? Jonquils are the little mini daffodils!
It's a beautiful photo though … I have a jug and two cups in the same print as your little bird-vase there, but in an aqua colour!
wish i could smell them, making me want to go and buy some flowers so my house smells pretty….
have a fab weekend telle
xx
I can't believe it's the weekend already. I loaded up your blog, and refreshed it a couple of times – thinking it was showing last week's Friday post. LOL.
Happy Friday to you too!
Katadia – Thank you. xx
Miss Moi – Ha, cute. Lacey has mastered candles. She loves them. It makes having having lit candles around entertaining!
She's Rambling – I have no ideas what they are now… ARgh!
Bee – You too. x
Tracey – Friday it is. Yippppeeee. xx
Gorgeous flowers, if they are jonquils then I agree, they have such a wonderful and strong fragrance.
Have a wonderful weekend.xx
Do you find going to the markets is much cheaper than the florist?
I have been meaning to get to the Sydney flower markets for ages.
They look a bit like gardenias too but it's way too early for them!
