Everyday Everybody: Megan.

H

ello. Are you ready to peek into the life of another Fat Mum Slim reader?

Meet Megan. She writes super lovely words over at Writing Out Loud. Pop over for a look-see. {Megan has also just launched an exciting new blogging experience. You can find out about it on her blog}.

What reading matter is currently beside your bed?
I love to read, so I have a few books by my bed, waiting to be read. At the moment I’m reading ‘American Wife’ by Curtis Sittenfeld, as well as a copy of Frankie magazine for when I need something a little lighter.

What was the first gig you went to?
Bon Jovi *cringe* when I was fifteen. I saved up for the ticket, got Mum’s permission for half a day off school to queue up for a good spot, and braved the crowd of fellow bogan-music lovers.

What do you spend most of your money on?
Shoes (I’ll go shopping for clothes but usually come back with shoes instead) and holidays. I’m always saving for a holiday; I love to have a trip in the pipeline.

What will you do when you retire?
I’ve spent my life in the hills, so I think retiring to the beach would be an amazing change.

When was the last time you stayed in bed all day?
When I was pregnant. I was so exhausted at the end of the pregnancy, so when I started my maternity leave I spent lots of time sleeping or just lying down. It was so rejuvenating to have that time before my baby was born.

Are you sensible?
Yes. Definitely. I’d love to have crazy, wild adventures, but I tend to analyse things too much. The one crazy thing I did – getting a tattoo on a whim when I was eighteen – is the one thing I actually regret. I’m now halfway through having it removed.

What are you proud of?
I’m super proud of my little girl; she is the smartest little thing around!

What’s your favourite flavour of chips?
I’m a sucker for Red Rock Deli sea salt chips. Yum.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer or an author. I still dream of writing as a job.

You’re granted one wish – What will it be?
Ooh, tough one. Crazy, wild answer: To travel the world and write about it along the way. Boring, sensible answer: Health and happiness for myself and all my family and friends. Or if I’m extra nice to the wish-granting genie and buy her some nice champagne and chocolates, would she possibly give me both?

Thanks for playing along Megan. xx
