Everyday Everybody: Carly.

H

ello!

I hope your morning is going well. It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to meet a new Fat Mum Slim reader. Today it’s time to learn a little more about Carly.

Are you a Winter or a Summer person? Definitely a winter person. I love the cold, hate summer as I have red hair and burn so easily and its just too hot. Whereas in winter you can always get warm.

What are you looking forward to tomorrow? Tuesday. hmm. If my practical hadn’t been pushed back a day I would be finished tomorrow and would be so happy. but no. I’m there another day. I guess I’m just looking forward to seeing the children again, adore them to bits and I get to teach another half day with them.

What’s your biggest weakness? Hmm. I feel that sometimes (especially at University) I have too many opinions and want my voice to be heard, but I find that this is sometimes a positive cause I am able to stand up for myself and get my own opinion across too. Oh and food wise: ice cream.

What did you want to be when you grew up? I remember as a kid wanting to be a teacher, but from year 10 – year 11 I changed my mind a dozen times. I went from wanting to be a teacher, to journalist, to lawyer, to forensic psychologist, to CEO, then childcare and then ended up doing my Diploma of Children’s Services.

Can you describe your favourite photograph? It is a picture of the beach. I was sitting in a hole that my friends and I had dug and I’m nearly at eye level with the sand. There is a towel on the right then the waves crashing in front. Its just a relaxing picture. love to look at it.

What do you have for breakfast? I usually don’t eat breakfast. and I didn’t this morning either.

What’s your usual drink in the bar? I generally order fruit tingles now but most of last year I was a tequila girl.

Did you ever run away from home? When I was 10 or so I wrote a note to my mum, telling her I was leaving and never coming back. I walked down the street to my aunty’s. When I was 16 my sister was just at primary school in kindy. I ran away on Australia Day before I was meant to start year 11. I wrote a note to my mother explaining why I was leaving. I left at 5am. I didn’t just run away. I moved states. I moved up to Queensland with a guy I didn’t know. I was there for just under 2 months. I felt so bad for running away. I put my mum through hell. My sister was so upset that I’d left. But the important thing is I went home. I haven’t forgiven myself for what I did, my mum has, but I don’t think she has forgotten.

Who is your favourite aunt or uncle? My Mum has all sisters and only two are still married, so my favourite aunt would have to be auny janet – she is just so level headed and great to talk to.

What do you wear to bed? Generally I wear long flannelet pants and a t-shirt. Though these tend to be my boyfriends. Then I leave him with no pjs!

Thanks for playing along Carly. If anyone else wants to play along just email me at fatmumslim@hotmail.com

Thanks. x
