Easy hair, yeah yeah

My family wasn’t blessed with the best of hair. We’ve got frizzy, nothingness hair. I am sorry family, but someone had to say it. It’s just not that cool.

My siblings have brown hair, and I’m the only blonde. My two sisters have curly hair, and I have frizzy. Blessed are we.

My little sister has just given birth to a new baby boy. Evidence below.

happy-baby

He’s just happy to be alive.

Anyone who has had a baby knows that hair is kinda the last thing on your to-do list a lot of the time. For a while now I’ve been getting my hair treated {kinda like straightening}, mainly to fight the humidity up here on the coast and also to save my neighbours from getting a fright every time I leave the house {HOLY FRIZZ BALL}.

So I decided to treat my sister to the same treatment, the Bhave treatment {and by treat I mean gift her a treatment from the kind PR company instead of snaffling it myself}. This is how my sister’s hair behaves every day. We didn’t tease it or mess with it for the photo, this is how it is. I told you we were blessed in the hair department.

before

The Bhave Smoothe Treatment is gentler than straightening treatments from the past. Basically it’s a keratin treatment that tames the hair so it’s more controllable, and easier to manage. So my sister started with curly, curly hair and the treatment wouldn’t turn it straight, but rather tame the frizz, relax the curl and make it easier to wear every day.

This is how Jenna walked out of the salon after 2 hours.

after

After leaving the salon she didn’t wash her hair for 48 hours, as to let the treatment do it’s thing. And then she had wash and go hair. It has a slight wave at the ends, still has body, and instead of straightening taking 45 minutes, Jenna can do it in around 15 minutes. I’ll snag a photo when next I see her {poor thing has has just endured 3 weeks of hand, foot and mouth with all kids and adults in her crew}.

Zoe Foster did a great write-up on the treatment, if you want to read what a beauty expert thinks of it. I’m no expert but I splurge on it a few times a year, and it saves me loads of time so is worth the cost {it ranges in price from $200 to $300 depending on the salon and the length of your hair}.

before-after-behave

Jenna received the Bhave Smoothe Treatment complimentary, no review required. I just love the treatment and wanted to share. Thanks to Salon 104, Kingscliff for hosting us.

  1. I got this done after you had mentioned you had it done and I LOVE it. So GOOD!

It’s totally changed my life. Big statement, I know.

  2. My daughter will ask for this one day, I just know it. Her hair just keeps growing into tighter and tighter curls that frizz as soon as I’ve put the brush down.
She has inherited my husband’s hair, like your sister’s before photo.
I have hair like your sister’s after photo, that will not ever hold a curl.

Ah, we all want what we don’t have!

  3. Looks amazing! I have this kind of hair and living in North Queensland just adds to the problem. Often straightening it is a waste of time because within 5 minutes of walking outside i’m a big fuzz ball again. How long does the treatment last???

  4. WOW how amazing is that! I can’t even imagine having a kink in my dead straight hair let alone all of that goin on! LOL. Mind you years ago someone asked me if I straightened my hair…. I just laughed at even the thought and said No I was born with this straight lifeless head of hair!

  5. I know that salon..I live in terranora thanks for the review on this treatment I have thought about this often but thought it cost a lot more.

  6. I’ve been straightening my hair for years and the most recent was the best. I need to get it redone – cuts down primping time by half and increases confidence by like a gazillion!

    • I don’t know. When I had keratin before my hair was super straight. This smoothes and calms the hair, so I don’t have the frizz and I still have a slight wave {nice body} but no crazy.

  7. I need a treatment like this in my life. My hairdresser is coming round for dinner tomorrow. I’m going to give her a grilling. Who knew hair could be tamed in one easy step? Love the look, Jenna! x

  8. This is so my hair. Now that your sister has had the treatment, what does her hair look like without straightening it? Can she “wash and wear”, without straightening? I would like to keep some curl (but remove the frizz).
