DIY // EASTER FUN BOX

DIY // EASTER FUN BOX

Easter is less than a week away now. So you know what that means, don’t you? In less than a week we’ll have kids on sugar highs on our hands. Epic sugar highs.

We don’t go too big at Easter. It’s limited chocolate, new PJs but mostly good times with family. This year Lulu is old enough to get something, but not big enough to indulge in copious amounts of chocolate. I saw a version of these kits somewhere online, and it stuck in my mind… so I decided to make one of my own. Today I wanted to show you how to make your own DIY Easter gift.

I shopped around at our local cheap shops {you might call them bargain shops, $2 shops, junk shops – you know what I mean}. There are so many Easter things to choose from. The cartons are from Blank Goods {only $1 each}, but you could also use an old half dozen egg carton. I painted some white cardboard with watercolour paints, and wrapped it up a little bit pretty.

Inside were some little stickers, a little puppet {I made, if you were gifting an older kid you could put it in unmade for them to create themselves}, a stamp, a little hairclip, bigger stickers, the cutest chicken EVER and a few tiny chocolate eggs.

And that’s it! It was so easy and fun to make. I think I’ll one for Lacey too, because EASTER and FUN. x

  1. Such a cute idea! Love it. I’ve just got some wooden eggs to decorate and use for our easter egg hunt (given we don’t “do” normal eggs!) so I’ll add this to the crafting activities for this week! x

  2. That’s too cute Chantelle! I miss my ‘little boys’ Easter was so much fun when they were younger. These days it’s a large frog from Haighs, hot cross buns and no egg hunt or bunny footprints. Enjoy the day x
