Billion Dollar Babes

designer, Michelle Cooke, has created a line for plus size clothing line City Chic. I like what I see.

Billion Dollar Babes is a fashion label that caters for the smaller body. There are a few dresses in their current collection that I wouldn’t mind having in my wardrobe.

The dress below is from the new range for City Chic. It’s pricey at $300. I wouldn’t spend that much unless I had a special event. Plus I already own a similar dress!

I don’t mind this dress (below). It could be worn throughout the day, with a belt to make it a little more casual. I’d try not to get around with my arms up like that! It’s also expensive at $250 so I think I’ll give it a miss.

This top from City Chic’s normal range though is quite sweet. It’s $69.95 and would be comfortable through Summer with jeans. I’ll think about it.

What do you think? xx

  1. #1 is definately for a more formal event. However, 2 or 3 would be good for daily (I agree with the belt on #2). I’m sure you’ll great with either option!

  2. The top is my fave – very cute. LOL – you mean you dont walk around with your arms above your head all day so the dress looks its best!

  3. Oh if only I could rationalize spending that much on any one item of clothing as those dresses!! SUPER CUTE!! I think I’ll add them to my “in case you’re feeling REALLY generous with this year’s birthday present” list…hehehe

  4. Love the top! If only I was young again, well I’ll rephrase that – I feel young, but the body doesn’t sit quite right to wear clothes like these!

  5. I love the first dress and the last top, but my arms are so huge, that i would never in a million years where either of them.

No-one other than my immediate family [and them not so often] have seen my upper arms since around 1980. And it is bloody hot where I live! Central Queensland.

  6. Tracey – I know how it is. It was only this week that the kids were giving me a hard time about wearing too many layers.

I haven’t shown my arms in such a long time either. Thank goodness for cardigans!

  7. I like that top….I wouldn’t buy either of the dresses, not just because of the price, but I’m so sick of black in my wardrobe and I’m desperately trying to retrain myself to allow, and indeed learn to love, colour!!
