If ever you’re feeling more adventurous than a box of Betty Crocker I recommend trying out this recipe for butter cake. Remember that episode of Sex and the City when Miranda and Carrie sit and eat pink Magnolia Bakery cupcakes? Well this is them, but in one big cake.
It’s filled with truckloads of sugar, so much so that you’ll be in a sugar coma afterwards… but it’s worth it. Worth the sugar coma AND all the exercise that you’ll have to afterwards to burn it off!

Oh i love Magnolia Bakery and the cupcakes are gooood but if you go i recommend trying the chilled Banana Custard Pudding….OMG we had to sit down after the first bite – it was heavenly nom nom nom =).
