  1. Not sure if this is your style, but have you tried a portable DVD player? We use it for long journeys but it could work wonders (and increase her portability) if she’s a dedicated car-hater…

  2. i think i must be very lucky – rosie loves the car! we drove to brisbane and back with hardly a peep out of her!
when she does get a bit cranky i sing to her – that seems to be a good distraction. or i have a few toys she can play with.

  3. Bugger, so no visits to the glorious Northern Beaches soon huh?
She does look so cute in that pic, and I’m trying not to giggle thinking about you and that toy microphone!! pmsl.

  4. i just loved your blog title when i noticed you won a certain something on a certain blog.
i had to check you out. you are the cutest. the cat’s pajamas. the bee’s knees. you are a keeper.
    xx britt

  5. BugMum – The DVD played is a good idea. Before she was a little young, but now she might just be interested. Thanks for the tip!

Helen – You’re very lucky. I sing. Hum. Dance. Everything. I am hoping when we have another baby that they like the car.

Liss – I was pretty hilarious. Giggle away! 😛

Britt – Welcome. I’m glad you like it here. You’ve just said quite possible the nicest things EVER! xx

Dorsey – I would have loved for you to be there. Being a tourist I would have hammed it up BIG TIME for you. If you ever come to Australia… you know who to call. 😉

  6. My niece was exactly the same. Only I kinda forget and agreed to go on a 120km round trip with my sister :O OMG!!!!! I don’t think my hearing has ever been quite the same ever since.

Poor little tyke! She must be frightened or maybe a little motion sick?

  7. Oh Telle, Lily hated the car too. I could have written your post myself. We tried everything. It was awful.
Around the time she turned 1 it stopped. We think it might have been because she was a bit bigger and could see more, maybe she just grew out of it.
I hope Lacey grows to like the car soon.
