8 things I’m loving in life right now

This is a sponsored post for Choosi Life Insurance.

Here’s 8 reasons why I’m loving life right now:

1. Baby stuff shopping
Oh please, someone stop me. How cute is that little spotty onesie? I was shopping for Lacey and I got sidetracked by the cute stuff in the baby section. Little people things are just so DARN cute.

2. Water
Perhaps I’m the only who does this, but sometimes the liquids in my life can get complicated with soft drinks, ciders, spritzers… and then I pour myself a glass of water and ice and I’m like, “How good is water?” The answer to that is good.

3. Fun in the sun
I mentioned on the weekend that we’ve had non-stop rain for so many weeks now, so when the sun shines it’s like a huge blessing. We’ve discovered the local pool, and it’s all kinds of awesome. I’m actually considering starting aqua aerobics. Don’t laugh.

4. Polka dot Polaroids
I’m addicted to Polaroids. I have hundreds of them. And I’ve just discovered the polka dot film. I need to put my camera under lock and key because Lacey will find it and come back to me with handfuls of photos of Bronte and I just want to cry.

5. Fruit
So good! I did have nectarines and peaches but they were consumed before the photo was taken. Whoops.

6. Swimming
We’ve found a sweet swimming spot that’s kinda secluded and just perfect. It takes me a while to get in {if the water is cold} but it takes me forever to get out. Can’t we stay a little longer? Pleeeeaaassseee?

7. An extra set of hands
My Ma has moved in with us for a few weeks until she settles into her new job and finds herself a new pad. I am loving the extra set of hands around the house. And the home-cooked dinners. Bliss!

8. TV is back baby
All the trashy TV is back. I was talking to my bestie on the weekend who I share a similar taste in TV with – we’re loving Real Housewives of… everywhere, I’m also excited about Girls and whatever else comes my way. I tape them and then watch them marathon style.

About Choosi Life Insurance: Life is good, right? And Life Insurance is one of things that you don’t want to think about when you’re busy living life and enjoying it. 1. Hmmm I wish I could go swimming. So excited to see you buying baby stuff. Aaaargh <3 So happy for you. I seriously can not wait to have my own babies one day. I'm obsessed. I should enjoy my early twenties, but seriously .. I can't wait for family time.

    • Make sure though you enjoy today – because you don’t know what tomorrow brings! Find the right husband – who will be the right father – and then together raise the right children! But before that – ENJOY the NOW with the friends! And know that someday – whether it be from your body, or another – you can be a mommy! (I’m a mommy who started with a 10 year old… and trust me, it’s still having your heart walk outside your body!)

  2. I love all your happy stuff… and my own 🙂

My nine year old son telling me he loves me to the moon and back.
The love of my life telling me life is sweet with me by his side.
Mom, making a good life for herself and us every day while missing my dad always.
My sister, now as obsessed with photograpy as I am.
My Canon camera – always there when I need it.
Cool ollegues, well uhm, most of them are cool.
My job, since I started there in 1986 there still is room for me growing and developing. Education, time well spent parttime in school and at home.
Spring, it is on it’s way even while they predict snow this weekend.

    Life is GREAT!

  3. I loved your list – and you made me stop thinking about all my negatives, and think about what my 8 reasons I should be loving life… so here goes!
    1) Sunday is my 46th Birthday (I never thought I’d make it to 30, so BONUS!)
    2) Sunday me and my baby bro are going to see TobyMac and a bunch of other Christian singers in concert!!! I LOVE TobyMac – and to have him in Little Rock, Arkansas on my actual Birthday – oh soooooo BONUS!
    3) I just joined a gym – with a pool – I love swimming too… but only in chlorinated water! Been there 3 times so far since the 1st, and have actually “worked out” – maybe I’ll hit 47 and be a couple sizes smaller – BONUS!
    4) My parents are on vacation in Florida (I live with them since leaving my husband in September) – and I realized… for the first time in my whole 46 years – this is the first time I’ve been totally alone – no people, no animals – and I’m surviving. God is Good – BONUS!
    5) I’ve gone 30 days without bashing my husband on Facebook – a goal I had set for myself since joining Celebrate Recovery – I’m kinda proud of myself – Bonus!
    6) Friends of mine that I left in Illinois are enjoying over 12 inches of snow (in one day) – and I’m here in Arkansas in 60-70 degree (F) weather! BONUS (for me at least!)
    7) I have 3 girls from our church coming over Saturday to help me get this house back in order (cleaning!) – I hate to clean! I get to pay them to do the work – they get to go to Church Camp – I get to present Mom with a clean house – BONUS!
    8) After being out of work since last April – I HAVE FOUND A JOB – part time, but with a man who is the in NASCAR Hall of Fame – and I’m a NASCAR fanatic! I’ll be helping out with his bookkeeping… and he knows someone else who might want me to do his trucking bookkeeping also – so this might go into something big – HUGE BONUS!!!!

So, HUGE THANKS Chantelle… you’re post made me turn around and re-focus today on what I need to concentrate on! After leaving my husband, I’ve had a hard time doing that – and today I really needed to click on your post and make myself think of MY 8 items!

  4. Whaaat??!! There is polka dot Polaroid film?! Well now, I will just have to add that to my list after I have hunted some down. Awesome.

I just want to add that I started a deep water running class in January. A friend had been inviting me to join her class for 4 months but kept putting it off as I really don’t like getting into a cold pool and I really hate being cold AND wet. I am so glad I tried it. Now I am happy to be cold when I get in the pool because we work so hard in the class, the cool water feels great by the end of the class!

  5. It’s like a grateful list, just so much better. What a fabulous list. I can’t get enough of the stone fruits either. So delicious!

  6. Aqua Aerobics are wonderful! I can hardly wait for it to warm up a bit here so I can start going again!

  7. I’m so jealous of the swimming right now. It’s been cold and snowy for a couple weeks here and my school year has been rough. I’m so ready for summer break and some time to swim or at least get wet and it’s not even spring break time yet.

I love water, too. It is really the only thing that quenches my thirst when I’m thirsty. It’s hard for me to drink sweet drinks cause I can never seem to get the taste out of the back of my mouth. Ice water is the best!
