his self-portrait was taken on the way to lunch yesterday. We were driving around in the car hoping to get Lacey to sleep early so that we could have a nice, relaxing lunch.
She’s not silly though. She knew something was going on. So she sang, counted buses and chattered away. There was no sleeping for her. Well, not until the hellos were done, and the hugs were given out and mains were served. xx
funny how these little ones always know when something is up. Clever little people that they are.

Ohh, she sounds like my daughter! We used to drive around trying to do taht too! “No peaceful lunches, OK, my people?” Still no peaceful lunches, and certainly no hope of getting her to sleep, now she's 3.5. I'm glad it was a nice one, though!
@seaside siblings: They are pretty smart, our little ones. It's funny how much they pick up.

Kids are quite smart!! They always seem to know when you want them to take a nap so that you can have some free time to do things…then they refuse to do so!
But that's what makes them really cute. 😀
