34. I work as a Nanny looking after 4 children.
35. I have been in my job for almost 7 years.
36. I have been Nannying for 10 years now. That makes me feel old.
37. I have Nannied for 11 children in my ‘career’.
38. My first ever job was cleaning motel rooms with my Mum.
39. My next one was slicing bread in a bakery. I used to drool over all the cakes and slices, especially hedgehog slice.
40. I find it hard to say no to a good hedgehog slice. There is a good one in Byron Bay that I love to have when we visit each year.
41. My main source of income during High School was from working as a Sales Person at Rockmans. I was quite good at my job and often got praised from customers and from management.
42. I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I always just wanted to be a Mum.
43. I love being a Mum and would have more and more children if life allowed, especially if I could be a Stay At Home Mum.
44. Everyday I dream of being a Stay At Home Mum and know one day it will happen.
45. At school I was really good at Art. I loved it with a real passion. It made my feel alive.
46. My artwork for the HSC made it all the way to be exhibited at the NSW Art Gallery for Art Express. During transit the frame warped and it couldn’t be hung. I’ve kept it all these years but I think I recently told Mum she could throw it out. It was a self-portrait, but not in the traditional sense.
47. At the end of High School I sat for a scholarship to an art school up here in the City. If I remember correctly it was to do Graphic Design. I got it, and then turned it down.
48. The only thing I paint these days is walls in our home. I look forward to painting with Lacey when she gets older.
49. I honestly believe that one day we will win the lotto and live a simpler life. I guess I should start buying tickets so that I have a good chance of winning.
50. My Ma and Pa split a few years back. It was really hard on all of us, especially my Ma.
51. I think that my Ma is one of the most beautiful people alive is destined for wonderful things, and more nurturing relationships now.
52. My little sister is planning on working in the UK next year. I will miss her terribly. Lacey will miss her too. I talk to her everyday, and see her most days too. She gets me.
53. I have a love/hate relationship with where I live (the suburb). I love it during Winter when it’s nice and quiet and it’s just the locals.
54. I hate it during Summer when every man and his dog moves in. No one respects our beach and they leave it in a mess. It makes me sad that it gets abused like this.
55. I once yelled at a man for throwing his cigarette butt in the sand. He didn’t care one iota.
56. I am pretty anti-smoking. I find it hard to believe that anyone would take up smoking with what we know now.
57. My favourite movie is Good Will Hunting. I could watch it over and over.
58. My favourite TV series is Sex and the City. I could watch it over and over. And I do.
59. My favourite musical artist is Sarah McLachlan. I went to her concert with some girlfriends a few years back and I’ve never been so mesmerized. She was so talented.
60. My sister is a talented singer and sang Sarah McLachlan’s Ice Cream at our wedding. It was perfect.
61. I love Musical Theatre. My favourites are Lion King and Rent.
62. I can’t sing to save my life.
63. I can’t dance to save my life either. It doesn’t stop me from doing either though.
i love rent too but not my fave. I think my favourite was chicago (great seats) and Miss Saigon (first one I ever saw).
